this doesnt surprise me, I think Trane rocks, I have one myself. Usually when I hear people say they stand by one unit or another its a Carrier or Trane, I dont think I have ever heard anyone say choos a Bryant! WTF, those things to me sound like a bunch of junk
When I still owned a stone barn before I demolished it I had a trane air-conditioned but when the building decide to collapse after a storm big rock hit it and It only messed up the compressor the electric fan worked very slowly. Then it died after 10 seconds
Trust me,it's not because it's a Trane. It's where it was hit.I install Bryant and it would of done the same thing. The only thing different is Bryant don't those SUCKY compressors Trane has !
@demmylowther the bryant unit would have quit working before the wall even fell on it. Then it would have been smashed flat with the thin cheep metal the use to build the unit.
@acnfanmanin Are you talking about the fan inside the outdoor air-conditioner? I thought the fan shown in the video that is pushed way down into the unit is just to keep the A/C unit from overheating. The fan that blows the cold air throughout the house is located within the indoor unit I thought?
if had the black top on it the rocks probably would have just bounced off and oly needed to replace the side panel that was munched.

ONLY a Trane or American Standard would survive this, due to it's Spine Fin coils.

I went to a no a/c call and found a Trane that had been hit with a tree branch and collapsed, but the damn thing was still running.

Carrier has its own name and market but no comparison with Trane

Does it still work properly blow cold air? Also I noticed it was a heat pump? Was it in heat or cool mode here?
classifiedinfo 1 year ago
@classifiedinfo I don't think it is still blowing really cold air because the fan is already down inside the coil so it only vent the lower coils.
