  • I've not a huge fan of this game, though that may be because I'm trying to play it with the keyboard keys of the SC-3000H.

  • I bet this would have been alot more popular than it was if it was released in America. This was actually made when the Atari 2600 was very popular and before the NES was made.

  • that's awesome. i really hope that in the next couple years will come out with a new system.

  • Is The SG-1000 I, II, and Master Ststem all compatiable with eachother? or are they 3 different systems?

  • @SmoothCriminalAaron i dont know about the sg consoles but the SMS (or mark III) is a separate console about BC i have no clue but unlikely

  • do you know ware i can find one of thes?

    and the game?

  • Cool this was so much better than Atari 2600.

  • this was probably Compile's first ever game. by the way, the title is actually pronounced "Chew-my", as the "chu" in the title is the Japanese onomatopoeia for a mouse's squeak.

  • What a fun looking game it seems like blast to play.

  • were can i find an sg1000?

  • Aah, always a pleasure coming home from work finding lot's of new Luke-videos!

    Keep 'em coming.

  • It's really too bad the this system was never released in the US. Luke you've heard of the Dina 2 in 1 right? It's a Sega SG-1000 II and Colecovision in one.

  • I always felt that Sega's main problem back then was the sound and music.

  • This looks like Donkey Kong. I thought the Japanese Master System could play SG-1000 games, or am I thinking about the SG-3000?

  • i want this game :D

  • Man, that was surprisingmy intense!

  • Hey Luke, is that console pretty much the Japanese version of a Sega Master System? I still have a Master System 2 from years ago, we had Sonic 1 built in where as our friends had Alex Kidd, we were envied! haha. Great videos, I enjoy seeing your gadgets and nostalgic gems!

  • The Sega Master System in the US is actually the SG-1000 III in Japan. This system came out before the Master System. The graphics for this system are more along the lines of the Colecovision.

  • awesome video luke. never even heard of that system

  • ween did this one come out i never seen it before

  • that looks interesting. makes me think of that one gameboy game where you play a mouse. forget what the name was. wish i could remember and try and find.

  • wait WHAT

never new such a sega existed wow this is new to me

  • you can use Genesis/Megadrive controllers on the SG1000, can't you?

  • Can't you see that they are wired?? Wow. lol

  • Haha, you always say.."I figure we could put in this game here" Same tone evrytime too

  • Is this console a Jap version of the Master System?

  • the one before it :)

  • No, in term of technology, a Sega SG-1000 is almost the same as a ColecoVision game system, but they are not compatible. However, there is a clone game system than can handle both ColecoVision and SG-1000 games called dina 2-in-1 or personal arcade made by bit corp. and released by telegames... no more available unfortunately.

  • It's a pretty interesting system and never knew it even existed. More game vids for this please Luke I'd love to see more of what it can do :)

  • You do a lot of videos man! I like that!!! :)

    I'm Your fan!

  • benway isnt actually his name its just something he tacked on because of something or was it someone i dunno but he liked it anyway

  • The Benway bit comes from the William Burroughs character Dr Benway in his novel Naked Lunch.

I used it as my CB radio handle for years, and just kept on using it when I came online.

  • thanks i remember you mentioning it on a video wasnt quite sure what it was but now i remember

  • can you plug my youtube channel LOL

Steve is a good stand up guy deserves all the respect he gets

another quality video luke, i like the added luke sound effects "JUMP, JUMP... NOOOOOO...!

  • You could probably get some replacement pads for a spare controller lying around. Just cut it to fit.

  • Thanks for the mention :D

That's a cute looking game. It reminds me a bit of Flicky. The gameplay is different, but something about the visual style reminds me of it.

  • Oh hey, it's Mappy's son.

  • that name never could get old....

  • mouse hole...that sounds dirty lol

  • this game gives me a humble Chubby~

  • cool game is there a anther game like this?

  • "Hustle Chumy" ha ha... great name.

  • LOL Hustle Chummy best game title ever :D

  • Interesting. I had never heard of this system before. Looks like quite a fun game too.

  • You need to do a review for a SEGA system. I kinda want a new SEGA system

  • hhaha noooo : ) Cute game

  • wow compile made this..compile has made alot of classics

  • i love stevebeneway...suprised he doesnt have more followers.

  • wow luke I was trying to get the sega sg-1000 system for a while man you do have everything

  • That's wild,i never heard of the SG 1000 before,great stuff.

  • Another compile game.

  • I never even knew about this console. Too bad Sega isn't in the console business anymore. Dreamcast wasn't really promoted here in the Netherlands(and probably most of Europe) either, I remember asking some videogame store guy if they sold Dreamcast games and he never even heard of it.

  • Well, You know if it's Sega I'm interested. Steve, if I remember correctly, isn't a big fan of the Sega Master System. Wasn't Segas earlier consoles primarily Master Systems, as far as processing power, etc.?

Does the SG-1000 family of consoles have the Yamaha FM sound chip, or was that merely with the Japanese Master System?

I know, I know. You ask many questtions, butterfly. :)

  • i have never heard of that system before, is it a Japan only system?

  • It is awesome how you post new videos every day. It gives people something to look forward to watching on youtube. Unlike the AVGN who you have to wait 2 weeks for a new video review.

  • lol the music does get on your nerves after a while, but looks like a nice little game.

  • reminds me of pac man in a way lol
