does anyone have a vintage batmobile slot car 1/64 that they are willing to sell? I need one for my collection, and don't want to do the ebay thing. Thanks! fordhunter1969@aol.com
Hi. Got into 1:32 slots when I won a Scalextric Bathurst Battle set in a Telstra promotion a few years back. In the meantime I picked up second hand a boxful of old parts and bodies, from which I assembled two complete working cars; a GT40 similar to the one at 0.03 and a green Cobra. There was also an unidentified chassis of something that at least still runs. They make an interesting change from the modern magnet cars.
Thank you for your comments. My website caters for 1:32, 1:24 and HO scale. This video only features 1:32 and future videos will feature 1:24 scale too. I don't collect HO scale and I don't currently have access to any to make a video.
@VintageSlotCarRacing Love your web site. I got bit by a Carrera 1/32 set that I inherited from a restoration job I did for a client. I have 4000 H.O. slot cars and 100 1/32. I have Carrera, but my dominator is Eldon. The track though is no match for the Carrera track. My only problem that I have is to get more power from those blue can motors. I am trying to find a professional that can bring strong power to those motors. Know anyone? U.S. or foreign.
i love this page. great music and great shots of some classic cars. remember race the eldons at 6 volts. if you have a power source for each lane the eldons can hold their own against the others at 12. have fun and good luck. kind regards from san francisco bay area.
BTW, I have a soft spot for Eldon slot cars and I run them at 12 volts. They are quick enough but severely lack braking ability compared with Scalextric and Revell cars of the same era.
The longer wheelbase of the Eldon may affect weight distribution under braking maybe.
You can never take the kid out of the kid...This is great...
