is it built from an old turbo? lol, i read somewhere that you could build jets from old turbos. that would explain the low thrust, or he's just not pushing it. i would be scared too, but then again, i'm an idiot so i'd still punch it!
I use a small car coil and a 12v relay that cuts its own power, so it "chatters" and turns the coil on and off really fast. Coil high voltage side has a car high tension lead going to a normal spark plug in the combustion chamber. After the engine is warm and running ignition is switched off and flame inside the combustor continues to burn.
I think its a briliant way to kill some time in the afternoon..Try making home made turbo kits for your cars..Dont forget ! Every car can be turbo :o) Right on m8 do some more..

A turbo jet like that made from a TO4 sleve bearing turbo is never going to have heaps of thrust, its not a purpose biult jet engine. Its a car turbo. It was never designed to do what its going so the fact that it goes at 60km/hr is good enough for me. If you can do better go right ahead and lets see it, IE biuld one faster with a similar turbo.
