Actually, people use their ipods differently. with the 4th gen, I loved watching videos and interviews since I travelled a lot; the alarm enabled me to wake up to a playlist every morning - something that can't be done on my shitty phone, the mic was brilliant for voice memos, revision and messing around. The new ipod is shit for some people, and great for others. Personally I hate it with a passion.

IMO, I'd prefer having it with a watch strap. That way you can leave it on the clock function (0:45) and wear it as a watch when you're not using it for music. Plus, simply having it clipped to my waist or anywhere else doesn't feel so secure for me.

All the previous nanos were designed to be operated with one hand and crank the volume without looking. This one is hard to operate with one hand and since there is no wheel you cannot operate it by touch sense although ironically it has a touch screen.

So not advisable for biking or for driving :(
