Nice! We are going to play that peice on the coming up band concert, and it sounds really hard(especially if you only have 3 percussion people) for example, I am playing three things at once D:
O.o everyone was off tempo... :P flutes did good..... some were out of tune though..... :P but mostly tempo really messed up the song... it would have been better if everyone was on the same beat...
Can I just say, the first thing I noticed was the bad posture in so many people, especially in the flutes. My band has just started this piece, but I'm pretty sure that the song shouldn't be played that fast.
Yikes!!!!! That was aweful!!! You guys play wayyyy to fast, snare is raising the tempo, and the band has no choice but to speed up, and that makes it sound bad. Because they are not ready to play it at that speed. Slow down, and take time to work on this, because right now, your at a 3....maybe a 4...Not close to a 2 or 1!!!
It does sound choppy. The flutes dont sound together. The brass is an 8th note faster than the rest in the begining and the middle. The first scale for the flutes was a little blurry. The trumpht solo was good. The tempo was faster but not together.
It does sound choppy, the flutes arent together, the brass is a 8th note faster at the begning and middle. The first scale for the flutes was a bit blurry. I think the tempo was fast but not clear. But it was pretty good at the end.
This piece was supposed to be smooth but it sounded choppy. And not really together...and it seemed a bit faster than it was supposed to be. But good job! (:
This would sound much better if everyone took a glance at the conductor every now and then. That way, everyone would know exactly when the beat is, and no one would speed up.
Then again, when you're performing, no matter what you do, adrenaline causes you to speed up at least a little bit.
You guys play it faster then the actual tempos, just so you know.
And yah, that ending for flutes ((and clarinets.. )) is pretty confusing sometimes. Our teacher made us play it faster and faster and faster, and then she was like, "Okay, and this is the speed you're /suposed/ to play it at. :D" and she turns the speed way down. = _ =''
Trombone 2 overpowered trombone 1. LOL

woah...at measure 28 they fell apart badly.
bad percussion-band agreement afterwards.
again at 57.
the instruments in the bass line did not agree with each other at 70-79.
the bass line also did not agree on a start at 82.
trumpets not agreeing with each other at 92-94.
the flutes, trumpets, and clarinets fell apart at festivo.
overall festival rating is a 3 in my opinion. - 1st chair bassoon in high school, 1st chair district, 2nd chair state.

actually , most of creed is tongued . but they did a pretty good job, my intermediate band is playing this for the music festival in may

Depends on what instrument you're playing. Flutes and clarinets play a lot of slurred phrases.

Those intonations were really out throughout the whole concert.

I believe there was a trombone that was playing loudly through it.. That kinda made it sound icky.
Otherwise, great performance! :) My band is playing Creed as well. It's a fun piece!
