It was nice, but usually when u get caught up in the curves too much the proportions end up way off. Does this happen to you?

Heh, why not? Its so you can understand the form, how muscles work etc. Also to be able to draw the anatomy accurately.

Because its the easy way to make things look good. (clothes are quite hard to draw.)

how can i explain to you ..? they do that cuz they love the art of drawing, even want to draw dressed people, they have to draw them naked first, and then draw the clothes. i wish you understand.
