Without question, Corelli was an incredibly important composer. The seeming simplicity of his style belies the elegant balance and proportion, so important in the music that would come. It is well known and easily heard how great an influence he had on Haendel.
This one doesn't count with the characteristics that a sonata da camera should have,I mean if you listen carefully you could realize that the movements aren't the way that they are raised on sonata da camera definition, this also haves a clave and the ones that come with this instrument are"a trio" and "da chiesa"If you could help me analizing this it would be vey gently because I am going to have an exam in a few days of this.Excuse my language, Im from Argentina,I hope you can understand me
This is definetly a sonata da camera. Besides the fact that Corelli himself calls it a "sonata da camera", all the movements are dance movements. Therefore, it is a "sonata da camera". Many of these sonatas are only three movements. However he also has da camera sonatas in 4 movements as well.
This is really, really beautiful. So many of Corelli's pieces are so moving. He without a doubt wrote some of the most passionate music of the baroque.
Most of my Corelli videos have low view counts, which is seriously disappointing. He is highly rated by musicians and people in the field, but the average classical listener doesn't seem to listen to him. It's sad, because his music is truly incredible and absolutely brilliant. The first composer who's music seems to truly transcend.
Yes, I have the same experience (unfortunately). I only have two videos featuring Corelli's music, but both their view count and favoring count are quite low when compared to most of my other videos.
But I noticed that the number of users uploading Corelli's music is slowly increasing here on YouTube. In time, maybe the number of people appreciating his music will increase also :)

Whenever you hear those beautiful suspensions and cadences, you just know it's Corelli.
