@generalares A great passage is at the end of the Quran, stating that all have the right to believe as the do and it actually talks of how good deeds can get you into Heaven. That seems a bit nicer than being punished for simply using free will that God gave us. Look up the Book of The Unbelievers in the Quran to see about religious tolerance.

Off topic: I am a believer. I love God and God loves me. And I am bisexual. If we followed the Bible word by word we would be killing Jews, buying slaves, stoning people etc. Bible is the Book, but it's also outdated and a product of a culture and age very different from ours. @Parryrider First off, do you believe what the Bible says? And I mean everything. Yes, God loves you, but He will not allow you to enter eternity with Him if you willfully practice homosexuality. That's scriptural. Also, Jesus said that the Bible would never pass away. It applies just as much now as it did when it was written. And no one can follow the Bible word for word, that's why Jesus had to come and shed His blood on Calvary. You're too valuable to God not to be told the truth.

God says homosexuality is an abomination - it's against the natural order. Those who say "god made me this way" are severely misguided in their reasoning. Being famous, and thus "in the spotlight", he's done irreversable damage to the reputation of Christians world-wide.

@OrfofOnyxe We are all born with a sin disposition. Homosexuality just may be how his is shown. I agree, if he's claiming to be a Christian, he can't practice homosexuality. But if a Christian has a slanted sexual orientation yet brings it to the cross for help, he's no different then a person who struggles with lust, or drugs. Romans 3:23.

@2ndCOR517 I fully agree. God can help people, but only if they want to be helped. Clay seems to think that his perverse sexual orientation is "okay". He's not 'bringing it to the cross', because he doesn't see a problem with it, so he doesn't see a need for forgiveness. And if he ever was truly a christian, he should know that homosexuality isn't acceptable in God's eyes any more than murder or theft. I'm not saying there's no hope for him, but he's still done damage to christians' reputations.

@OrfofOnyxe true to all. A person must realize that sin is sin, but without a Divine Intervention nobody would know that what we do is wrong. Sin is sin, homosexuality is just one way that sin vents itself through certain people. It's just like addiction, or kleptomania, or any other sin. But like you said, one must bring it to the cross in order to find forgiveness and help. And yes, unfortunately he has slandered Christianity. Thank God I only have to give an account for myself.

He wants us to turn to Him, so that He can love us in eternity, not be separated from Him. Hell was made for Satan and the fallen angels. God never intended humans to go there. Clay has the chance to turn and repent while he's alive. But after that it's too late. Homosexuality is one sin that is made clear that it is damnable.

Jesus said in the great commission "Go and makes disciples of all nations." @scrap222666 Why even argue this? The Bible was written by controlling men, wanting to control their little world. Hell is nothing more than a scare tactic, and yes, the Old Testament demands the deaths of gays, all who work on the Sabbath, disobident teenagers, and so on. You'll argue that's the Old Testament and Christ spoke against it, but it's part of the Bible and you're supposed to follow it entirely.

@generalares A great passage is at the end of the Quran, stating that all have the right to believe as the do and it actually talks of how good deeds can get you into Heaven. That seems a bit nicer than being punished for simply using free will that God gave us. Look up the Book of The Unbelievers in the Quran to see about religious tolerance.
And until you really talk to God instead of what you read in a book then you can't say you know God loves anyone.
