  • Really one of the most beautiful scenes depicting violence I have ever seen - you almost forget that they are in a battle to the death. It's a dance, it's art, it's poetry.

  • GOD, Lucy Liu is HOT as FUCK

  • thats not the full scene!!

  • DOES ANYONE KNOW THE SONG IN THE BG?

  • @TheLRihanna Hey Hey Hey... Why capital Letters?...There is no need to raise the voice

The Name of the song is "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" by Santa Esperalda

  • @Veronikaynadamas i wrote capital letters so someone can see my comment and answer. thank you.

  • I like how the music stopped after she screamed LOL

  • they spend 90% staring at each other...and fight consists of one slash....

  • Damn that was badass, when she cut her scalp off was so cool!

  • Too short, but amazing

  • The music chosen for this movie is the greatest part of it. It's just astounding how awesome to music fits to the scenes. You would think it's made just for the movie.

  • Only complaint I had about this was that it was too short. For all of O-Ren's past and her standing as this killing figure, I wasn't completely convinced of it here. Otherwise, it's absolutely fucking gorgeous.

  • This fight would of been better if it had been shot wider when they were swinging the swords. I saw the making of, and the choreography for this fight was awesome. But the fact that the camera is too close to see anything fucks that up. At least the sweet music is there.

  • Why was Lucy Liu fighting with her scabbard as well?

  • The music... It is.. So amazing..

  • NEED DA NAME OF DA SONG NOWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @RKiddH Santa Esmeralda - Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood instrumental part from mid

  • i like the beautiful garden in this shoot

  • katananananna.

  • "The Bride fights O-Ren Ishii while i'm playing unfitting music"

  • @horaciosi

    This is epic music.

  • @Caturdayz But it doesn't go with this scene.

  • @horaciosi

    That's the original score

  • @Caturdayz I know.

  • Besides Pulp Fiction pretty much the only good movies both Uma and Lucy star in. They should stick with Quentin, he brings out the best in them.

  • @Cooludeful I actually liked Lucy in Rise: Blood Warrior. That wasn't a great movie but it was really fun to watch

  • @Cooludeful sorry. Rise: Blood Hunter. I haven't seen it in a while so I messes up the name. Either way, fun movie

  • whats the song in this fight

  • Anyone who doesn't get that this fight scene is about way more than swords clashing isn't paying attention.

It's like the difference in light saber duels in the classic Star Wars trilogy versus the shitty prequels.

The unspoken dialogue between these two characters, as conveyed by duel, is what's important. I've had this debate before, that nobody can tell me that O'Ren Ishii didn't know she was going to die here. This duel was her penance and she knew it. Amazing scene...

  • To me, I find this sword fight artistic. It's not meant to represent any extravagant moves, they want to show the beauty side of martial art... like a dance. Graceful and dignity.

  • @Amberwind993

Exactly, the first person i hear to say something reasonable in this aspect... Everyone is saying, oh no this is not the best sword scene ever? Anyways... Thanks for your comment;)

  • @Amberwind993 Easy now. ;)

  • umm were is the rest of it?

  • They hardly did shit... hows this "the best sword scene ever" dumb fuck

  • @Chidbin You've watched way too many movies depicting ridiculously unrealistic swordfights that go on for 20 minutes. Most sword fights between people actually trained and sparring or doing tournaments are over in a few minutes tops, and most of that time is positioning.

  • @Duskofdead That didnt really make me care to much what so ever.

  • i dont think its the best ever sword fight scene its one of the best. Example, Sword fight in Troy and Sword fight in Die Another Day rank up there i think both of those are better than this one

  • This is not the best sword scene ever at all. :S

  • @altheathepirate

Of course not, it is very diffcult to say that something is "the best ever". It is just my personal opinion man.

  • @Naota1984 The description says "Best sword scene ever".. O.o

  • @altheathepirate

Yeah the description is subjective, the best sword scene in my opinion. There is not a "best sword fight ever" objectively speaking. I uploaded the footage and i write what i want to write;)

  • @Naota1984 Yes you do, and instead of answering you with veiled sarcasm, I'll recommend you watch Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, the series A Game of Thrones, among others, they have great sword fighting scenes ;)

  • @altheathepirate

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon is one of my favourite films of all times. I watched it like 10 times or so and the same with others like Hero, The House of the Flying Daggers, Samurai films by Kurosawa, Lady Snowblood.. etc. I know what i'm talking about man... Peace

  • @Naota1984 I enjoy all those movies as entertainment but the fighting in them was not to be taken as realistic by any stretch of the imagination. It was like fighting: the Chinese comic book superhero version.

  • @Duskofdead

Yeah i agree, this is not real fight this is art... It is simple but it seems people don't understand that...

  • @altheathepirate This is definitely the best duel scene I've seen in a movie. Not for the specific techniques (which judging on that basis most people would pick stupidly unrealistic movies) but for its style and presentation.

  • @VengeanceKing Huh?

  • wow, how gay isthis

  • @VengeanceKing

Gay??? i don't know what you mean but i'd say everything about thing except gay. Whatever...

  • Tarantino is a master, Uma is a goddess and Lucy is a princess. Top 10 sword fights ever, best duel of ladies

  • @jjmdirector

    I agree with you man!

  • That snow on the ground actually looks pretty soft. =D

  • Haha i find it awesome that evn though shes knackered and injured from fighting like 50 people the bride still thrashes her :)

  • Best sword scene? What about the scene immediately preceeding this?

  • The previous one was a big masacre buddy, this is a one on one duel.

  • Meh, true, but This one is just the standars, slash- block- run thing. The previous one had Uma Thurman cutting people's feet off while breakdancing.

  • nvm noob

  • awsome scene whats this song called?

  • @spfann1 Better late than never, Santa Esmeralda - Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood :-)

  • @spfann1" Don't let me be misunderstood " by Santa Esmeralda.

  • @spfann1 "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" by Santa Esmeralda

  • @spfann1 Dont let me be misunderstood.

  • @spfann1 Don't let Me Be Misunderstood by Santa Esmeralda. You should see The Good The Bad The Weird to see this song used in a very extravagant manner.
