Donno what cad systems he's using but most "good" 3d cad systems have these options of the testing of the product before into proto. Is why cad is so cost effective. Design process is the most costly of course, and can take time.
I am not an engineer, but am very interested in strategy and design. I have also recently gotten an opportunity to work with a world class team of engineers, entreprenuers, venture capitalists and investors on a product design initiatives.
