  • The patch starting at 1:02 is pretty cool.

  • yes the final count down!

    nice synth

  • Good but missing the "electronic circuit ambience". I've not heard any VST being able to emulate that 100%, not sure if it is possible at all in pure digital form.

  • Great sounding soft synth! I'd purchase this in a NY minute if there was an Audio Units Mac version. Please make one so i can give your company money. :) Great work!!

  • sound good but is very different from the original hardware from oberheim, this last sound very analogue OSC detune mode and have very unusual tones that a vst or a reason engine cannot reproduces at 100 %

  • Further supported platforms: Muse Research Receptor (Receptorized Installer available on Plugorama - ILok needed), SM Pro Audio V-Machine (there will soon be an optimized package including a wizard file, which also can be installed in the vfx software within macs - the mac side software should be out in about two week (have a look at their site)

  • yeah this is made with synthedit ..

  • Compatibility should be no issue at all, the plugins have been tested with cubase, nuendo, live, sonar, orion, tracktion, project5, vsthost, savihost, minihost, forte, chainer, operating systems: windows vista (32), windows xp, windows me, windows 98, with the help of wine it even works in intel macs with leopard; fully supported by receptor too (by muse research themselves)

  • I own this product(the standard, not the Pro with Multimode fitlers) and must say even the hi quality youtube sound doesn't do it justice. Plenty of character, and makes a great layered sidekick to real analog polysynths. It was developed in Synthedit though,(and Reaktor for Macs) so compatibility could be an issue.

  • What's the melody/song being played at 0:52 to 1:00?

  • that's nothing existing - just some improvised chords

  • the opx looks really amazing, glad someone came up with this program.

  • It is a great program, something I'll be looking into...

  • The "Final Countdown" was done on a Roland

    JX-8P actually..."stab brass"

  • no problem - op-x is a very flexible synth - it's not only able to recreate oberheim sounds, but also jupiter, prophet, moog etc. - listen to the audio demos on the website (link in the video description)

  • The Final Countdown : Roland JX-8P/Yamaha TX 816

  • AFAIK, VH's "Jump" and Rush "Tom Sawer" were done with Oberheim OB, but I believe the typical Europe's "Final countdown" was done with a Roland (Jupiter 4 or Jupiter 8, not sure really). This VST sounds really great, thanks for sharing this.

  • The Final Countdown was done using an Oberheim Matrix 12

  • Great emulation. Sounds incredibly authentic! I'm very fussy about softsynths and dont like many of them, but this one has an authentic sound. Gotta get it!

  • There's a version for reaktor which works on both mac and pc - there's a demo for it too

  • I need an Intel-Mac VST plug in on this. Your page is confusing, I've tried downloading the demo and it doesn't work. I don't have reactor so do you guys plan to make a standalone unit for Mac Intel? Please do! I'll buy it so quickly if you do!

  • I am a Mac guy (EVERY MUSICIAN SHOULD BE!!) and fortunately I also have Reaktor5 but I agree that they need a standalone for the Mac!!!

  • (EVERY MUSICIAN SHOULD BE!!)

    any particular reason?

  • The version above is about 70 euro (99 USD) - have a look at the link next to the video - there's also a pro version for additional 49 USD

  • Man this plugin sounds really good, its avery good emulation of the original Oberheim. How many euros does it cost ?
