  • what month is best for fishing?

  • It's Shanes Castle Estate, below Randalstown.

  • Where on the maine is this- send me a private message if its better? Also- what club control it?

  • It makes me laugh to see you guys talkin about your 17 inch salmon or your 10 pound salmon. Here in Washington State, we get them coming in fresh from Alaska, 25 pounders easy if you know what you are doing... Makes Salmon anywhere except Alaska itself look small lol.

  • Cool video

  • That accent is northern ireland, Belfast or Derry. B'jez.

  • sounds like a scottish brogue...not a Maine rasp!! UK not USA

  • cool

  • were abouts in the maine are unes fishin?are unes far from randalstown there?

  • i dont belive theres any here, unless

theyv escaped from someones stock pond

  • In Maine? Nope we aint got any. Brookies in just about any little stream thats cold enough, Browns in alot of the lakes and loaded in the St.George river and Raindows in the upper andro and below Wyman dam on the Kennebec. Oh and Sunapee(aka Golden trout) and blueback Trout in some ponds in the county. But they are realy just types of arctic charr and them and Atlantic and Landlocked salmon is what we have.

Regards, Neal (P.S the salmon can get to around 10 pounds under the dam...)

  • ive never heard of a cuthhroat trout in maine but you should come to this great state. Hook a 20 inch landlocked salmon on the fly and youl forget about any old cuthhroat when you hook a salmon they imedietly jump and run some of the big ones dont jump tho

  • 4sure you did Ryan, caught me on my blind side:) A man after my own heart, catch & release all the way! Looks like you had a good day on the Maine, can you divulge on what they were taking for you that day... Looks like you were nymphing!?

  • Small gold heads and pheasant tails, just tweaked on the drift. River was perfect on that day. It doesn't fish well when the river is very clear. Bright sun and an east wind totally kills it too. :((

  • Not putting this guy down in any way shape or form or even teaching him how to suck eggs.... But not only should any of those wild trout been out of the water in the first place but he didn't even wet his hands when unhooking any of his fish.... respect your quarry.

  • Hi, if you look at :44 in the clip, you can clearly see me dip my left hand in the water, before lifting the fish. I am a a catch and release angler and am very careful when returning fish. Thanks for the pointers though.

  • adda boy
