Oh my goodness, I totally agree. I'm pretty sure I'm the only person I know that doesn't have Gmail because I greatly dislike it. I'm kind of mad that they made me link my Youtube to my email (which happens to not be Gmail). If you go to Google they have your town over on the side (which cannot be changed even though they say it can) and try to narrow your search with it.
