  • NIN = 0 dislikes

  • The industrial guitar riff(s) at 4:01 defines this song! My favorite album

  • NO dislikes hell yeah

  • definitely the most openly hostile song NIN has done and ever will do. just the way the tension builds and builds through all the instrumentation, then the brief respite with trent singing, then the climax...fuck.

  • now, when people are listening to albums less and less as albums, and instead jumping from whatever catches their eye to whatever catches their eye next (wikipedia's a good analogy), it's great to see a performance like this, which deserves to be watched from start to finish. the downward spiral one of the last amazing concept albums (until the next one?) was perfect material for it too. thanks thisoneisonus.

  • this drummer fucking rips, he plays every song perfectly. but he doesnt have that amazingly dirty and raw flare that josh freese has.

  • @TunerLegend17

    uh, one word . . . Vrenna

  • Incredible. The crowd was awesome. Such an explosive performance. That's a very different way of ending that song too. Great performance, but not quite the same without Trent playing the 3rd guitar...

  • Damn..... that's right... Damn !!!

  • what makes me lol is that you can hear me yell "saxaphone trent" at 0:31 !

  • @daakins

aw i was hoping you got hit by a drunk driver on your way home. :(

  • @davidkrod it's not as bad ass "OMG PLAY HURT, JOHNNY CASH 4EVER"

    It was appropriate.

  • @daakins

    true.

  • @daakins Maybe, but that isn't saxophone Trent. Purest Feeling is saxophone Trent!

  • @daakins thats pretty gay

  • @cooliovasquez Wow, Internet Tough Guy right here.

  • Nine inch nails is the real deal!!!

Once you're living comfy, to be putting out a free album and going above and beyond... that's what i'm talking about. Music!!!

  • The ending to this live version gave me chills.... god I wish I could have been there.

  • And All That Could Have Been is probably the best overall live album they've released over the years, but it is pretty sweet to hear all of TDS Live all in a row.

  • I'd shit myself if they played Eraser when they came to Winnipeg in 2008.

    Honestly.

    I'd flip out.

  • About how i feel right now... Oh, and HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! fuck shit cock monkeys

  • @KilvianBjot haha that song rules but heaps of people didnt like him for making that, i bet he only plays it in really special moments.

  • Fuckin epic

  • Does anyone know if he played any of the B-sides from the downward spiral? I would have loved to have been to this show, the only extremely minor downside is NIN only performing 14 songs. I still would have given my left and/or right nut(s) to have seen this live. I am so jealous of any of you lucky fucks that went to this show... and made this amazing video possible. MANY MANY MANY THANKS!!!

  • well, the original march of the pigs doesn't have the extended ending, that was added in the fragile tour as far as I know, so he was more accurate to the original TDS playing it the way he did. As for closer I couldn't care about the details of that song, least interesting song on the album even if it is a great single.

  • NIN actually played 10 more songs after playing the whole "Downward Spiral" album.

  • They played the whole The Downward Spiral and then they played like 60% of there usual setlist afterwards.

  • @MechNIN lol dude, they played other songs too... check ninwiki

  • You do realize that I posted this comment 2 months ago and have since realized this. Thanks though

  • BBrrrreak you...

  • the horn at the beginning looks to be the next from a tenor saxophone

  • trent can play anything apparently :)

  • He pinches bees with nine inch nails to get the sound from the intro, if that was your question.

  • Comment removed

  • bets playing of this song is on closer pt 2

  • in english, motherfucker.

  • what instrument is trent using to make that sound?

  • trent's horn. he likes to toot on it.

  • i think it's the neck of a saxaphone

  • all you fucken assholes complaining about the singing: it's a fucking rock concert not your ipod.

    stfu.

  • this is the most amazing live performace of this song ever!

  • okay. "the downward spiral: live" beats the crap out of all the other NIN live DVD's, no question. :D

  • Trent Reznor is a musical god.

  • fucking brilliant, i saw them 5/29/09 in Chicago and it was the greatest thing i've ever done in my life

  • Great song, especially without idiots singing and ruining the audio.

  • Fuckin' incredible!

  • ....Thank YOU!

  • This is Epic! Well done.

  • so glad they did this

  • AMAZING!!!

  • so that wasn't bees...it was a kazoo they played!

  • This so much better then BYIT though that one was orgasmic. I don't know how to express myself!

  • BYIT was orgasmic? Have you heard AATCHB? You'll pee yourself.

  • As i can see you're some kind of AATCHB crusader ;)

And IMHO BYIT destroys AATCHB to dust. BYIT is so much better.

What I meant in my comment though is that this version of Eraser is much better then BYITs version.

    IMHO :)

  • i agree aatchb is the best ever every time i listen 2 it it gets bettr and bettr it has so much more energy than byit but i think byit is good 2

  • @Astr0phile what about closure torrent only dvd ...look it up its awesome

  • FUCK YES!!!! He's using the actual instrument to make the reed blowing noise!!! Best performance ever.

  • I think it's something silmilar to what both Fredrik Thorendal and Marten Hagstrom of Meshuggah uses on their custome 8-string Nevborn Guitars.

  • It's a saxophone reed, dude...

  • @kareeji what instrument is that?

  • @TheNineinchsnails a sax reed

  • Best stuff ever..

  • thank you...millions.
