I think he may speak of earmarks because he knows thats what the public sees excessive spending as. He is better a speaking to the uninformed voter then his father.
doesn't believe in ear marks? i guess he means he doesn't want any EXTRA spending...im sure there will be some policy calibration with daddy Ron after this interview...
He doesn't believe in earmarking? His father said we ought to earmark every penny. That makes me question how different he is from the most conservative congressman since the 1930s. All earmarking does is specify what money designated to be spent is spent on but it's money that's going to be spent anyway so it's a congressman's responsibility to retrieve as much as possible for his district before the federal government inevitably spends it.
Yeah that' what I heard too. What Ron Paul said about earmarks made sense, I wonder why Rand doesn't agree with earmarks. RandPaulsupporter, do you know?
I think he made the argument somewhere else that money should be brought back to the states, but that it ought to left up to the state and local gov't to determine how it's spent.
At least he gives Rand Paul a lot of air time. He's been on Cavuto's show before and I think we should be grateful for that. Not many political candidates get that opportunity.

Rand Paul's next major money bomb is December 16, 2009.
Pledging ensures you'll get a reminder e-mail on the day of the money bomb so you don't forget to donate on December 16th to Rand Paul.
Spread the word!

Earmarking is a way to pay off special interests and lobby groups by promising them money.

Rand Paul is so clear and well spoken. Yes, he will WIN for Kentucky and the whole USA will reap the benefits of a man with good sense.
