I just finished the book. I stopped before the part that revealed the piano players 14 year secret, and had to have a smoke to prepare myself. This Murakami is a master at sucking you in to overlapping questions and mysteries. I'm addicted to his books. Stopping
nicotine-no problem. His books? I'll need some kind of patch.
can I get it written from you guys?? a friend of mine really loves the book but she cant find it anywhere. thought that maybe this one line can impress her?? please... thnx
And it came to me then. That we were wonderful traveling companions but in the end no more than lonely lumps of metal in their own separate orbits. From far off they look like beautiful shooting stars. When the orbits of these two satellites of ours happened to cross paths, we could be together. Maybe even open our hearts to each other. But that was only for the briefest instant. The next instant we'd be in absolute solitude.Until we burned up and became nothing.
it's a good quotation, definitely - but her voice is so ridiculous, she needs some vocal training definitely! i know in this scene she sounds close to tears, but her voice throughout the series was like this - it just sounded stupid.
Hey people i manage to find nearly famous episode 2 and i have uploaded it =D. if you do decide to watch the episode please click on the link on the more info option and sign the petition. I will do my best to find and upload the other episodes
hey, just wanted to encourage you to check out my adaptation of murakami's 'on seeing the 100% perfect girl." it's on my youtube page. :) let me know your thoughts.
I absolutely adored the book, and it was a brilliant choice for Kate's monologue. The passage she read perfectly described what was happening on the show, and summed up my feelings on the characters. The writers did an amazing job by picking Sputnik Sweetheart, and the actress did an amazing job portraying the emotion of the piece.
Wow..im just absolutely blown away. The simplicity in her acting and focus on the actual monologue, just pours out the emotion to the audience. Sometimes these actors overdo things and aren't very good, You see LESS is MORE..Anna Brewster is gonna be huge. The next Kiera Knightley??...p.s I am soooo gonna purchase Sputnik Sweetheart now!

I hated it. Murakamis books should be kept a private thing to yourself. I think its wrongly portrayed, I read the book 5 years ago.
