Interestingly enough, both the buzz-in "ding" and the time's-up double buzz were later used on Win Ben Stein's Money. Even the contestants' nameplates blink in the same way!
They really need to bring this show back, also it seems like the producers might have went on to work on Win Ben Stein's Money, some of the categories sound like categories that should have been on that show.
How ironic, to give savings bonds and put our country in debt on a game show about debt.

If I was on Debt I'd say:
I'm Nathan and I'm in Debt because I've been extravagantly Bought a Lot of Gaming Cards from the Internet.

I wish this show would come back to television, because I'm in "Debt."

I think they were also the ones behind GSN's "Wintuation".

Shouldn't the questions be worth a positive amount?
A negative plus a negative is a bigger negative number.
A negative plus a positive is a lower negative number (and therefore closer to 0).
At least that is what I learned in math class.

This was on lifetime? I thought this was on pax for some reason.

No, Debt only aired on Lifetime.

Probably because Lifetime's other two shows, Supermarket Sweep and Shop 'Til You Drop, had moved to PAX.

I guess it cost too much to keep paying the trademark fee (or whatever fee it is) for them to use Ham the Piggy Bank.
