Also, it helps to do Lamaze type breathing and lean your head in oppostion of the pain. For example, my pain was in the back right side of my mouth, so I leaned my head forward and to the left- this seemed to help take the edge off.

I mean real strong pain, the right side of my face and my neck was soar, i had to go dentist and i had a very bad infection similar to what you see in this video. I was given antibiotics and eventually had to the tooth extracted. But your advice is good. Brush and floss, because believe me tooth pain sucks!

@bombarderoazul I have something similar to that right now, (and am going to get treated for it soon) but it's an abscess underneath the molar, and it was mainly the dentist's fault. He drilled too far when filling a small cavity and exposed the pulp. The pulp and the nerve got infected and died, so I didn't feel any pain after. I just recently noticed it now because there is a large lump under my chin and it is pressing on one of the main nerves of my face, causing me excruciating pain.
