Thank you for posting this! I was very upset tonight. I just started a job working as a consultant for an TAX Corporation doing internal IT.While the center prides themselves on being professional and lighthearted, there is only micromanagement and numbers. I've been there three weeks contracted out for 4 month as a temp to hire and don't know how much longer I can make it. I'm 28 with A+, Network+, Certified Counselor, Lifecoach and customer service experience over 5+ years. I deserve better
I was trained for one week, it was two but I say that because power-point doesn't train. Two days with someone and off on my own I go. I had one of the best customer replies today but at the end of the day, "Why are you Aux5 so long" = 2 min of ACW to finish up the tickets so I don't get another call, thankless work, people luckily at this corporation are decent thank god!
One last thing, my tickets are already being audited on my THIRD FKN DAY buy all the big wigs because I classified something wrong that they never trained me on properly because the classification catagories are HUGE..and I'm currently being baby sat and "Coached" all the time sitting right next to my fake boss of a supervisor saying retarded cliche happy go lucky phrases that make me want to rip her throat out..fake fake fake personality..can't wait until I empty trash cans, would be better
terrible employment creates high turnaround for employees, the ppl you work with will all be gone in a months time, i worked at one for 3 years and by the end we only had a staff of four out of 50 available seats
to work in. Stress builds up in your body, you are constantly in fear of loosing your job, and worst of all, the supervisors or managers DO NOT care about you, the employee. Call centers take over a town just for the tax breaks on hiring people that are on welfare, once they get the tax break, they start to work you out of there with strict numbers or strict procedures. Precisely why I moved out of Tucson, to get away from the call center city. But I do feel your pain.
Very true, call centers DO NOT care for its employees or its customers, it is all about the all mighty number. Miss the number (even by a very small margin), you are either written up or let go. I use to live in Tucson, AZ where the ONLY place for employment was either Healthcare or a call center. Welp, I didn't want to go into healthcare because of dealing with sick people or blood, so I worked at the call center. I worked for 3 call centers here, and I must agree, they are the worst places
