Two things. I'd recommend this shit to any lazy lumberjack with five grand in his wallet. And what is with people thinking the Desert Eagle is so fucking great? It's big, it's pretty, it's powerful as all hell, but it jams often and isn't always the most accurate thing in the world. I don't think many soldiers are carrying it into battle unless you're on Call of Duty.

im no gun expert but i do not a lil bit and i have shot ALOT of diff guns. now as barrett or a remington700 is basically just on preferences. the barrett isnt as accurate is the remington700 but has way more power. i prefer the 700 tho. but now a DE is terrible.....i would prefer a glock 17 9mm out of all handguns. they are reliable, accurate, and believe iut or not a 9mm gets the job done.

That's not true. If you go shot in the chest by a colt it would kill you in 1 shot but games make guns less damaging so it is easy. In real life colts and deagles are just as good at close range, m21's and Barrets are all just as good at long range. Guns are more dangerous in real life than in COD4.

You pretty much have it down. A good shot with just about anything is all it takes.

Granted, a .50 BMG will reach farther and give you a bigger target to get that one shot into, since it will destroy more flesh, but an M21, or any other accurate .30 caliber rifle, is perfectly capable of long range shots, as well. You just need to be able to dial in more drop.

Part of the problem of trying to use a Desert Eagle in a firefight is going to be recoil. With a 1911, you don't have so much kick.

1st, military versions kick less if anything; they're semi-auto which takes out some recoil. No, duh, they won't tear your arm off. About 90 ft lbs of recoil, - the 40% or so taken out by the muzzle brake (as advertised by barrett)=50 ft lbs or so. .416 rigbys have around 100 ft lbs of recoil, because they are usually hunting rifles, not military rifles weighing 25+ pounds, and they don't blow arms off. Why would the way they're holding be any worse than prone off a bipod?
