Lol. Stupid question. I've been interested in learning the language for awhile. My entire mom's side of the family is Russian, but I never learned it. Any tips? (it's not available in school)

Hmmmm, that's a though one...The only thing I can think of is finding a tutor or a place where you can get enough vocabulary, and then the main thing is to parctice speaking it. Actually using the vocab...See if you have anyone local who can speak it and can tutor you. Sorry, that's all I can think of.
