i hate crits, it makes the game unbalanced and unfair, i always find myself in a fight were i have FULL health, (maybe 5 hp low or so) as a spy and im pwning the shit out of a soilder, he would have needed TWO rockets to kill me, but THEN out of nowhere a gigantic oval shaped ball of shiny blue hits me in the face, and he survives with 10 health, and my kill/death ratio has -50 worth of crit rockets and luck-outs.
there have been a few times where a crit rocket hits me and i laugh cause i got owned so bad. Once i was an engineer on 2fort and i round a corner, and get blasted in the face by a rocket, i laughed for like 3-5 minutes solid.
the damage required is approx 800 damage roughly. The base rate is 2%, it used to be 5% but they got a mega nerf, and now are much more skill based, in terms of "earning" them.
CSS is a serious FPS. Don't play it if you like having fun with games because the community will ostracize you immediately. It's all or nothing.
TF2, while having a competitive aspect (hence Team), is an excellent casual FPS. The learning curves for each of the classes aren't steep, but there are high enough skill ceilings so that the hard core gamers can benefit as well.
I also like the insult/taunt aspect of the game. The differing personalities of each class was also appealing.
css is just a regular fps, but i think tf2 is better, because in css all you do is shoot people, very few people plant bomb or rescue hostages these days and in css when you kill someone he starts insulting and damning you, in tf2 ppl dont get so mad, in tf2 teamwork is evrywhere, so if you like teamwork buy tf2, if you like that "alone in the desert against the terrorists" mode, get css. Features liek the engineers buildables make the game more fun and almost all engies build togeather.
I used two SourceTV demos. That way I can put the camera anywhere I want for recording. The versatility of these demos for video making is awesome, albeit requiring a little more creativity.
I recorded the demos a few days ago, and all the shots are of me. A lot of Engineers try to put teleporters up there though, so it's not uncommon to catch them in the act. :)
