  • She would probably chin me for saying this but imagine how fantastic she would sound if she a band like Reo Speedwagon backing her. The singer of that group started as a folk singer. They've got a few songs that would sound fantastic sung by her

  • @Carpetlay1

I think you are saying her old band with her ex was better and I have to agree.

I liked the violins and wind instruments and as you suggested if she fronted a rock band who knows where kate could go. not sure Kate is ready for that experience but if she as a track to fill on a new album she may surprise us but don`t hold your breath, she is loved as she but I would hope in the future she gets a more Ian Mclusker type band.

hubby is good but extras would be benificial

  • @306bad Ian Mclusker?

  • Sooooo Sweeeeeet!

  • Graham Coxon did the art for 'The Girl Who Couldn't Fly' and is bit of a fan of folk music

  • i love kate rusby's music. i got brought up on it from a very young age, i remember singing along to sir eglamore in the car because my mum had it on tape

  • such a diferent talking/signing voice

  • what does graham coxon know, he was in Blur!

  • Good to hear 'Mary Blaize' live.

  • this version of Mary Blaize is even better than the one recorded on "The Girl who couldn't fly".

She's an excellent composer and singer...shame that her style doesn't make things easy for massive broadcasting.

  • Interesting to see how Kate finds the traditional tunes - or do they find her...?!

  • ty this is great!
