  • I f you would like to find springs Their is a wonderful web site called Find a Spring.com you can add them also, as it will be the most informative that I have found.I have started to visit them here in the area. I came upon Paradise Springs and just find it so beautiful and peaceful. Garlic weed needs a picken why not volunteer your time? Together we can make a difference in these awesome places.

  • i remember when i went there when i was younger and fell in the wading pool. that pace is the best

  • Ah ha ha ha ha! You know? That's funny that you mention that! I did the very same thing myself back in the early 90's when I 1st discovered this place,...! I was walking on the rim of the pool when I slipped & fell in! It felt good though! It sure is a very nice place! We are very fortunate to have public places like this to go visit!

  • Are there drinkable water springs near there? I know Wisconsin has a bunch do you know of any near Illinois?

  • Yes there are, But are off of the beaten path! South of Whitewater Wis. there is a flowing well about 3 mi. south of town on Clover Valley Rd. in the Town of Whitewater. I talked with the land owner many years ago. They lease the well to the town for $1 per year. So the public can use it, Very very good water! Also, on Bark River Rd. just east of Fort Atkinson. Has a more iron kind taste to it though!

  • Yea thats not too far from where I live. Do you know any more specifically where on Clover Valley rd? I want to find a good place where I can gather my water. Looking to visit there soon. Thank you so much for that info.

  • @IntoWisOutdoors There is also a very nice drinking water spring open to the public about 8 miles north of Paradise Springs off of Hwy 67 near Dousman. It is free-flowing and runs at about 25 gal/min, providing natural spring water for many huhdreds who know it's secret hiding place...

  • Thank You Tim!

  • that was awesome ken! looks beautiful there, whats that stone building half in the water? like a dam of some sort??? very cool!

  • LOL! That stione building is the Spring House itself. All of that water flowing out of it is spring water coming out of the hillside,....at a rate of 500+ gallons a minute!

  • Wow Ken!! What a nice place.....I think I could just move a little log house in the bushes there....LOL....looks like you've got a lot of really nice, peaceful places there to visit!! Thanks for sharing this, I enjoyed it!! :-)

  • Actually there is a log cabin acrossthe roadway from here! I did get footage of it along with footage of the prarie! That will be another video soon!

  • Ken - Biker John here that you met yesterday at train crossing on Hwy S. Beautiful work! I look forward to seeing more. Let's get together in Whitewater some time and get acquainted. You captured the essence of many moments at Paradise Springs.

  • Hello John! It was very nice to meet you yesterday while getting footage of a friend rolling by with the train thru the Kettle Moraine! We'll most definately have to meet up someday in the future! Thank You for your kind words John! Stay tuned,...There's definately more to come in the near future! Thanks for stopping by!

  • wow this is amazing Ken great stuff! I cannot believe how clear that water is. did you use a special lens on your camera to do get that? it is funny you put this up today i just got back from a trip to a local park like that one were I took video and plan to post it. LOL funny how things work out like that.

  • Would you believe that all of this water is actually coming out of the ground/hillside at over 500 gal. a minute? To this day I still sit in that spring house staring in amazement at the bottom of the well trying to imagine that!

Nope, No special lenz. Just used the light & a certain angle to get the view! The water is actually crystal clear! That's funny on the coincidence!

  • very cool thanks for sharing

  • ahhhh, my type of place to be, no walmarts, no people stopping for green lights, lol,.. just the great outdoors, gee, you must spend a good amount of time there yourself to get all this good footage?

  • Nope, I was only there for about 1 hour to get the footage! I took 105 clips all together. I have been here quite a bit over the last 17 years since I've 1st discobvered this site! It was actually more dense with trees back then! This was actually multi million aire Louis J. Petit's property back in the early 1900's He built a horse track, the pond & stocked it with trout. There was even a spring water bottling plant & a hotel on this site as well!

Even had it's own electric turbin for power.

  • Also, Petits Grandson August J. Pabst ( Beer executive) inherited this property when Mr. Petit passed away in 1932.
