Great video however you flying skills are kinda average. Too low into TNCM and a tail strike on departure. Great realism but with these improvements you could be getting results close to reality!
You rotate at Vr so as to reach V2 at precisely 35 feet, which believe it or not is the end of the takeoff run and beginning of the first segment climb, gear retraction.
Think about it next time you sit on that simulator!
@DVA7498 At 400' at the beach you would not touch down until near the far end of the runway - don't forget that the radar altimeter is giving you the height of the undercarriage above the terrain - the Boeing 737 FCOM suggests 50' over the threshold if I recall correctly.
@BaronBoy100 yea you are right. But after seeing this video I just noticed the speed calls outs as V1, V2, Vr. lol I didnt know take off safety speed is before rotation speed
@DVA7498 Yes I had noticed the wrong sequence of speed calls on takeoff as well but someone had already commented on that. You are right about the approach though, it is very low, the appearance of the runway is far too flat and I think they would have hit the water short of the beach which makes me think the video is a compilation of several attempts at landing. The cockpit though is very impressive.
wow..yu defaintly had a tail strike on take off... over pitched and landing was horrible..but i can say yu got the sweetest home sim ever 4real..anyways work on actually flying the plane..nice vid..and graphicsss
V2 is safe take off speed in case of engine faillure
vr can be later if the weight of the plane is placed more in the back, so less force is needed to rotate,.. si it could be 80 kts, V1 121 , V2 143 , VR 145
Very VERY nice cockpit (Some rather well done scenery there too). So I'm guessing FS2004 has had extra LCDs in mind for when you want to display guages etc, that's nice.
No offense guys, i absolutely love this video, and i would love to have something like that, but your landing was well below par, not to mention glideslope.
1) was it flight simulator x ? if not how can u show us outside the plane, movement of flaps, rudder, landing gear etc?
2) if fsx, how can it be navigated manually ?
3) if it was the stimulator used by pilots to train themselves, usually it is a cockpit box only..but u showed us complete plane inside and outside..how is it possible?
It is a cockpit built in home and the video it is the result of record inside from the cockpit and record images from FS2004 separately and after mix all.
V1: "Point of no return". After this, you have to take off. Rotate: The plane has high enough speed to start rotating for take-off. V2: Take-off speed.
I too thought that, before I would build a simulator I would spend the money on a high-end pc and I would not choose such a hard airport to land at if I am not very good, but hey they'll get better.
Nice video but remember when u are waiting for the passanger to board the aircraft, that is the best time to lower the flap so u don't have to stop on the runway.
2:31 looks like a tail strike, and at 8:54 you touched down before the threshold, but except for those mistakes, very nice video! Nice cockpit simulator by the way ;)

Awesome!
Can you please answer these questions:
- How much did the parts cost and where did you get them?
- How much space this takes? (in cm or meters)
- Does it spend much electricity?
- How many PC's u use?
- Barca or Real Madrid? :)
Greetings! :+)

V2 may NEVER be equal or less than Vr.

that was an awsome video. but pl.clarify:
1) was it flight simulator x ? if not how can u show us outside the plane, movement of flaps, rudder, landing gear etc?
2) if fsx, how can it be navigated manually ?
3) if it was the stimulator used by pilots to train themselves, usually it is a cockpit box only..but u showed us complete plane inside and outside..how is it possible?
4) or was it both a combination of both?
anyhow, i enjoyed it..

Did it call first V1 then V2 and after VR???
GJv0179 3 years ago
Yes and it's strange for me also:)
MyPassionsss 3 years ago
well it is not that strange because sometimes V2 comes before Vr because of weight and temperature and a lot of other things.
TomaszB007 3 years ago
v2 is just the last chance to abort the t/o..on short runways it can come before vr
SomichOG734 3 years ago
wrong, v1 is the point of no return, and the
v2 is the minimum speed with 1 engine running, in the air.
lewisduncan93 3 years ago
whats rotate?
DudrickStudios 3 years ago
Pulling the nose up on takeoff
Sunshineboy23 3 years ago
V1: "Point of no return". After this, you have to take off. Rotate: The plane has high enough speed to start rotating for take-off. V2: Take-off speed.
....or so I think.
saxojon 3 years ago
V1 point of no return...VR= rotate...V2 speed you hold to keep a positive rate of climb in the event of an engine failure

scapy1993 4 years ago 2
It isn't that easy. But the point is the feeling of being in a "real" cockpit.
rOlfFafaN 4 years ago
The point is also that you should spend some more time to learn how to fly the plane properly with such a nice home cokcpit:)

fugernut 4 years ago
But in real life, they wait with the flaps until they begin to taxi, prior to ground equipment around the aircraft
jonzie12 4 years ago
after engine start and either after Flight control tests or as they are taxing out during the flight control test. Depends on Airline SOPs
