I've noticed he keeps on using the same bullshit excuses for Sakura. He doesn't have to "understand a woman's heart" to make her kickass and stop being on the sidelines all the time. And whatever "co-worker" he consulted most likely doesn't understand a woman's heart either, because her begging to Sasuke at the end of part 1 was kind of pathetic. Let's face it, if the character of Sakura was a male, he would get way more screentime and be much stronger because that's how Kishi operates.
@Ttadmer I totally agree with you :3 Anyone can make a girl feminine yet still kick major ass at the same time. Loads of animes do it. I feel Sakura is starting to develop a bit more now. However, the bit with the male part is true imo. Kishi even said he is more partial to boys (considering he is one) so I guess he prefers them more :/ I feel Kishi should let go of the whole "I am girl thus I should do this" kind of thing. I mean, it's the 21st century >.> He is living in the past lol

I don't think Kishimoto has a clear sense of depth when creating a character. Each character is a flat character with two or more traits. I wish he would stop making the main male characters so complicated and focus on spreading the screen time. Perhaps to female characters like Tenten, Ino, Hinata and Sakura? Male characters like, Shino and Choji? Heck, even they have more depth than most female characters. Seriously, he needs a female assistant to help him with that kind of stuff.

I am so happy to see that he has a little more character development and action planned for Itachi and Sasuke. Afterall, Sasuke is the main antagonist so it only seems fitting. Sakura on the other hand is sort of like a fill in character. She isn't really super important to the main story, except for the similarities between Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura/ Jiraya, Orochimaru, Tsunade. I really don't see why everyone is upset that he says he doesn't really understand women, I'm glad he's honest. XD

Based on episodes I've seen, I think it's very likely that the 10 Tails will become part of Sasuke. Epic stories always climax with the worse thing imaginable happening.
@bleeach5 They're all usless apart from ino-shika-chou, I'm talking about the rookies of course. ten-ten, lee and neji have had no development at all in shippuden. Sakura no development at all in shippuden and she's a MIAIN character. Shino and kiba useless. hinata useless but slightly developed in shippuden. All of them suck and it's a shame because they had soo much potential, my man lee got no panel in this was time pathetic. ten-ten's never had development.
@kb101ist OMG I SO AGREE WITH YOU! but Kiba did improve to a certain degree because his sence of smell is stronger then a ninja dogs. Neji never improved, Hinata defenetly improved with Neji's training and all, Lee creeps me out and doesn't really need to improve, Suckura never had development to beging with, and Ten-Ten only has one ability so if that doesn't work she's screwed!
@kb101ist Actually, Sakura HAS gotten development in Shippuden. Did you forget all about her wanting to be in the action this time unlike back at the Sasuke Retrieval? And also her revealing that she still has feelings for Sasuke even when he's evil?
Though, YES, I do say that her development can be a LOT better, your claim that she has no Shippuden development is wrong.
@TheGloryXros I agree with you Sakura's development is very poor but its still a lit better than what it was in Part 1 and her character seems more confident and determined than ever before.
@TheGloryXros Yeah thats true but considering the world building he has developed since Part 1 and the number of characters he has created over time its understandable that he hasn't had enough opportunities to develop side characters and move the plot along at the same time. But even so thats not an excuse. Hey its not too late to develop side characters since Kishi has set the premise for the Konoha Rookies by having them unite and preparing them to fight against Tobi.

@TheGloryXros I think the reason Kishi didn't develop side characters as frequently as he did in Part 1 is because the plot is mainly about Naruto and Sasuke and their rivalry and friendship. Well i would rather have the side characters get some character development in this war before it ends and before the series ends instead of them not getting any more development at all.

@TheGloryXros I think the reason that Shikamaru and Choji got developed well was due to Asuma's death and their will to overcome the death of their Sensei, and Shikamaru also promised Asuma that he would train his son and mentor him. But still my biggest disappointment with Shippuden is the lack of character development for side characters especially the great side characters like Neji, Rock Lee (i loved Lee in Part 1), Guy, Kiba, Shino, and so on.
@opnarutofan117 Exactly, tho Kishi coulda used that opportunity to develop ALL of Team Asuma, not just Shikamaru. He had enough room to, in my opinion. Heck, Ino coulda been the hero for the Immortal Duo Arc, and Choji's whole problem w/ being too nice coulda been started there so later on in the 4th Ninja War when he resolves it, it doesnt come off as awkward as it did.
Kishi coulda used the Kazekage Retrieval to develop Team Guy, but that was honestly wasted. And Team Kurenai's lackluster.
@TheGloryXros Yeah thats right but the way Kishi developed Choji during the war was in my opinion genius because it forced Choji to face his Sensei and surpass him on the battlefield and that was a huge step forward for Choji, if Choji got over Asuma's death in the Immortal Duo arc like Shikamaru it would have worked but it wouldn't have had as much depth as it did during the Fourth Great Ninja War. Heh i think the only person on Team Kurenai that got spotlight was Hinata unfortunately.

@opnarutofan117 And another missed opportunity Kishi SERIOUSLY had was the fight w/ Gaara's father. Instead of using that to develop Gaara AGAIN, he coulda used that for development on Temari, who so far hasn't gotten much of any development.
@TheGloryXros Yeah thats true too but that fight wasn't between Temari and her father it was more important to center it around Gaara and his father since Gaara suffered because of his father, Temari really didn't have any issues with their father. But i agree Temari should have gotten some development when the Edo Kage started fighting.

The only aspect where she's "useless" is in changing Sasuke, for obvious reasons, as shown at the Team 7 Reunion. Where in Shippuden did she "put Naruto in serious danger?" You DO realize, in fact, that she's the healer of the team, right? If anything, Naruto put HER in danger back at where he went 4 Tails out of control.
@kb101ist Part 1, OF COURSE she still had love for Sasuke. I'm talking about in Shippuden, where Shikamaru discusses to her about the fact that Sasuke's too dangerous now, and that they shouldn't hold back to kill him if possible. Sakura went through this dilemma, and led us to believe she resolved to kill him herself. But in reality, when she had the chance, subconsciously she couldn't do it. The fact that she couldn't, even when resolving to do it, is development.

Other than the thing I just mentioned, as I said before, she has developed from the girl that would stay behind and watch Naruto & Sasuke in the frontlines, to her being the one to be able to protect her comrades & fight in the frontlines as well. That development started in Part 1, and was clearly resolved & established in the Sasori fight.

@kb101ist By that logic, I could say the same thing for characters of, say, the Straw Hat Crew. If Zolo was taken out, for example, the story wouldn't have much change. Does that make him useless? NO.
@TheGloryXros No because zoro is actually an important character who's developed a lot in the story of one piece and actually is going to have a very important role to play in the finale outcome of the story of one piece, he also gets a lot of push time from oda. Sakura is basically ino without mind control powers, but has brute strength, her role in the finale out of naruto isn't significant she isn't important and her not being there wouldn't have an impact on the story.

I would see what you'd mean about Sakura in PART 1, but in Shippuden is where she DOES start being significant(though she could be a bit MORE significant than Kishi is doing for her). Again, I have to bring up all the points I brought up before, and THAT should show you just how "useless" she is. She isn't useless, but yea, she is somewhat underused in the story, which is Kishi's fault

this was al dissapointing, its practically confirmed that naruto's end can be seen, sasuke will die as an enemy and nothing will be resolved, the couples aint looking up seen as he doesnt understand women? just watch a movie or two and draw it along the same lines ffs, naruto is my favorite anime by far but from this interview it sounds like hes just gonna kill off the villains including sasuke, make naruto hokage, show how rin died, and just resolve everything, sounds like hes rushing to me.

Honestly I don't really think there should be a new enemy. Look at bleach. When Aizen was defeated they came up with some bogus other story about fullbrings? and another substitute shinigami? Come on. How many people actually liked that story line? If they came up with a new ultimate enemy i feel like they would have to forcibly tie them into the storyline and it would just get messy and weird.

It would be cool if they made a series following Naruto as the Hokage training Konohamaru as well as missions after the 4th ninja war and maybe a new organization or ultimate enemy.

Kishi is too focused on the main male heroes and forgot about the main heroine. It's sad. No wonder Sakura doesn't progress as much, he kept on asking geezers' point of view. Women today are strong and determined, hopefully he can show that side of female characters soon.

I am so happy to see that he has a little more character development and action planned for Itachi and Sasuke. Afterall, Sasuke is the main antagonist so it only seems fitting. Sakura on the other hand is sort of like a fill in character. She isn't really super important to the main story, except for the similarities between Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura/ Jiraya, Orochimaru, Tsunade. I really don't see why everyone is upset that he says he doesn't really understand women, I'm glad he's honest. XD

@TheGloryXros I think the reason that Shikamaru and Choji got developed well was due to Asuma's death and their will to overcome the death of their Sensei, and Shikamaru also promised Asuma that he would train his son and mentor him. But still my biggest disappointment with Shippuden is the lack of character development for side characters especially the great side characters like Neji, Rock Lee (i loved Lee in Part 1), Guy, Kiba, Shino, and so on.

Heck, Ino coulda been the hero for the Immortal Duo Arc, and Choji's whole problem w/ being too nice coulda been started there so later on in the 4th Ninja War when he resolves it, it doesnt come off as awkward as it did.
Kishi coulda used the Kazekage Retrieval to develop Team Guy, but that was honestly wasted. And Team Kurenai's lackluster.

@TheGloryXros Yeah thats right but the way Kishi developed Choji during the war was in my opinion genius because it forced Choji to face his Sensei and surpass him on the battlefield and that was a huge step forward for Choji, if Choji got over Asuma's death in the Immortal Duo arc like Shikamaru it would have worked but it wouldn't have had as much depth as it did during the Fourth Great Ninja War. Heh i think the only person on Team Kurenai that got spotlight was Hinata unfortunately.

I'm talking about in Shippuden, where Shikamaru discusses to her about the fact that Sasuke's too dangerous now, and that they shouldn't hold back to kill him if possible. Sakura went through this dilemma, and led us to believe she resolved to kill him herself. But in reality, when she had the chance, subconsciously she couldn't do it. The fact that she couldn't, even when resolving to do it, is development.

The only Thing i would know is: what is the Real Hatake Fight style with the sword and the Sogs. Kakashis style is corrumped by sharingan. I will See his Father fighting. Maybe sometime we See that Tobi fought against him and his Team ans as he realized that they have nö Chance against him, he decided to Abort the Fight and go back to konoha. But he didnt say anything so all Thing he Break the Orders .

@uwanahsasuke100 I agree kishimoto did rushed some fights and some stuff was wierd. (naruto clone third raikage). But shit every anime is like dat. Look at bleach (ichigo and byakuya). But he do need to set attention to more characters.

@soraandven: I really hope it was a joke cause Sakura evolved so much in the Sasori battle and since than we got nothing except that little Zetsu punch. (very cool!) But Kishi really needs to do more for her.
He once promised in his interview to write something for Sakura to show her heroine side and than we got the damsel in distress thing during the Kage arc. I don't really get how Kishi thinks when it comes to Sakura, but I wanne see her kick Edo Chiyo's ass :)
