When I was a kid we had a Playcat. It was a small tracked offroad vehicle, and could go almost everywhere.. I remember my dad used to joke that it could climb trees.
@couvidan hi, it depends on the land, area snow, mud etc. there are wide open areas that are usually inexcessable all over , by foot or a quad.... some muddier than others.... with tracks, they are like snowmobiles that float too he he he
@panterask8r14 Come take one for a test drive, there are actually quite a few amphibious ATV owners out there all over the world and I'm sure we'd all be willing to let you take one for a spin. There are many places to ride too. Go to 6x6World dot com and you can find out all about them on there or take a look at some of my other videos. Thanks for the comment and hopefully you'll get a chance to drive one soon.

Going thru the woods in on ATV is hard but trying to navagate thru the woods on one of these you won't get very far. their to wide and plus they tear shit up pretty bad as well. it would be cool to have this in a swamp or duck hunting,. but I rather put tracks on my atv the buy one of these. the avt with tracks can go pretty much anywhere.

@jpswift1 I know they won't float but try going through your average woods the trees are pretty close together so even weaving between them on a atv is a pain in the ass sometime thats what i was trying to say. if i wanted to get back into a marsh or swamp with a lot of water.
@todddhel With dual wheels they would be a pain to go through tight trails, I totally agree. All standard 6x6 and 8x8 AATVs will go through the average trail, even tight woods trails with ease because they turn on a dime with skid steer turning.

@jpswift1 floating= bad in quad world, we snorkel our bikes and put big ole tires on them and weights and keep the tires on the bottom. these thhings are just wide, ugly and suck in the woods and you all know it

@jpswift1 Grizzlies float, it just takes a lot of skill to keep it from flipping since it wants to float wheels up. But if you can do it you look like a total bad ass going through where all the heavy Popos and Can-Ams sink
@OpTicSPARK1 it spreads the vehicle's weight out and adds traction, you just need a powerful enough engine to add enough torque so that traction works, if you added tracks to this like a argo, you'd be unstoppable, go absolutely anywhere's.
This is better than the six wheeler . More stability . The six wheeler looks a little top heavy . The extra wheels lower the center of gravity . Very important .
i would hate to see the tire bill.. xD

@todddhel A quad with tracks on it can't follow one of these through the water.....we float, they don't.

will it go faster in water cause of the duallies?
combatarmsmaniac 1 year ago 2
@combatarmsmaniac
My friend Dan put duallies on his Max II and unfortunately it didn't go faster in the water.
jpswift1 1 year ago
I would bet that's great in the snow, the weight is so spread out that it would never sink.
flamedrag18 1 year ago
@flamedrag18
You're absolutely right......because the exerted PSI of the contact patch on the ground, this thing would be great in the snow and mud.
jpswift1 1 year ago
is that practical?
