@basimpsn --> yeah, if armed for landing, they deploy from a sensor that measures pressure in the struts of the main landing gear. Most airliners have this.

Why such rambling controversy over a camera in a cockpit? I don't get youtube and this REAL vs. SIMMer crap. I agree, to kids, or simmers that don't ever really sit in a cockpit 'This' is kinda kool. Now, unless your a crew member (which I doubt) I severely doubt ANY captain would let a total stranger in his cockpi to video his landing. ESPECIALLY after 9-11. You don't have to get vectored around, wasting time to shoot an ILS when you have 'severe clear' weather like this. You don't HAVE to fly the ILS just because you fly a "Big Plane" you know."
