I am surprised that YouTube has gotten away with allowing cover songs for as long as they have... This is no joke...

There are several companies out of Washington DC that have lobbied their way into gaining the power to impose fines on any establishment in the country that has live music.

They actually measure the square footage of the building and then charge the facility a fee... for future infringement because they are crooks... it is a shake down plain and simple.

it is so unfortunate that people are getting suspended for doing covers. it's free advertising for the original song, it's not like people are getting paid , it's a tribute to the original song / artist
