I'm not sure how well they were by the start of WW2, but they were led out of economic hardship by a vendetta against those who did so much damage to them.

@Loustrikesagain The Treaty of Versailles was aimed at restricting the germany army Clemenceau stated-Germany should be brought to its knees so that she could never start a war again. the treaty did not put germany in poverty, but restricted how many soldiers and how much military recourses they were allowed to have. Yes there was debt but germany was not in poverty. I did over exaggerate because their economy was down but every country struggled after the war so in comparison they were doing ok
