omg!!! the same thing happened to me, the la foundation is soooo sticky and 2 shades darker :(... and it sucks because i had bought 2 of them, and when i tried it on i was extremely mad and disappointed. i have to mix it with moisturizer and a little bit of 100% aloe vera gel so it ends up being a tinted moisturizer.

To apply this foundation on your face you will need a foundation brush,cosmetic wedges and total face brush to blend both the foundation and the pressed powder. I use e.l.f brushes and they have an amazing kabuki brush very affordable items love love love. So don't give up on their foundations :-)

sometimes u just have spend that extra money i got my kabuki brush for 15 dollars i luv it. I just got the la colors liquid faoudation but i had to mix 2 shades cocoa and cappuccnio to get my skin shade, but ur not goin be the same color in every foundation cuz in miliani im carmel in covegirl im harlenut in in covergirl im bronze so u just have to shop around but the la foundation is a good buy for the price

girl one word: vaseline....i put that on my lips EVERY night..it keeps them moisturized and soft for when i apply lipstick/gloss in the morning

p.s. in rite aid, revlon foundation is buy-one-get-one-free. I got mine today =)
