it has nothing to do with not having the competition. The us doesn't have nearly as many academies as europe. Players in CA for example can only train 2-3 days per week in normal clubs (according to cysa rules). These players are training every day of the week for hours focused on psychological development, technical, tactical, strength and conditioning. It's their lives over there. Over here not many places like that unless you want to pay till your great great grandchildren graduate uni
