  • i dont understand why she did a double pike dismount in athens instead of the full twisting double she did here

  • She already had a 10 SV with the rest of the routine.

  • @sampeszekfan Because her full-out was flung and low.

  • @sampeszekfan I also wondered the same thing when she finished with a double pike at the 2004 OG!

  • For a chinese gymnast I always thought personally nan was a bit FLAT.....nice style and everything yes but not in the 'wow' bracket of chinese gymnasts!

  • @garyj79 I agree with you. To me, the Chinese gymnasts (and the Russians) have a flair with the way they do things, which is probably the reason why they always fall off balance beam, but it's what makes their gymnastics so beautiful to watch. The USA and Romania have consistency over these two teams, but in some moments it can make them a bit flat.

  • i think in athens pavlova should have been the bronze medalist. not nan.

  • definitely. she was way overscored on floor. she got a 9.6 on a routine that normally probably only would have scored in the 9.3 range. she didn't even completely land her triple twist and still a 9.6?

  • I agree. I think they were too hard on Pavlova there.

  • Pavlova had lower start values. And Nan had better form overall.

  • I agree, they rob Pavlova too many times in 2004 Olympics and the 2008 Olympics also. The judges are too harsh on her!

  • How much did she score?

  • 9.2

  • @isa1285 Zhang Nan scored 9.262 for this routine to be exact.

  • Well, the mistake could have been a lot worse though...
