  • Hello BRISCO! -Lord Bowler

  • Man Bruce Campbell in his glory days. He's amazing, though not quite as young and built, as Sam Axe on USA's Burn Notice. I remember having a little girl crush on him in this show.

  • Now I can hear Bob Costas calling the last out of the 1999 World Series in my head.

  • i really love this actor !!!

  • Great show, Bruce Campbell does a great job as Brisco County Jr. Too bad it was only given one season.

  • "The men in teal are for real!"

Bob Costas Game 7 1997 World Series

  • OOoOOO shittt Thats SHO NUFF the SHOGUN of HARLEM, in the LAST DRAGON

  • ..el grone sapeeeeeeee

  • Love this show. You know it's going to be awesome when you see "Starring Bruce Campbell" in the intro :)

  • Nostalgia'd

    Westerns and Sci-Fi ftw

  • Great show when I was a little kid in the early 90s

  • Brisco had a lot of Han Solo in him.

  • John Bly has seen this video 5 times

  • For many year, I have searched for this song and now I find that it was never written for the Olympics...

  • @WhiteMage212 I know, right?? It is my favorite theme that NBC plays for the Olympics...kinda disappointed to find that out now!!

  • I just got the box set from Costco for $15. I loved this theme. But I am a sucker for Randy Edelman, who did Gettysburg, the Shanghai movies with Wilson and Chan, as well as so many others. The talent on this series should have guaranteed it a second season and more. Leave it to Fox to ruin great things like they always do. Oh, did anyone notice a year later that Legend on UPN was a blatant ripoff of this show?

  • Bruce was so orgasmically sexy in this show.

  • God I haven't seen this show since it was originally on the air back in 1993-94. I loved it. I was pretty little back then but it was such a fun and entertaining show.

  • I will miss Julius Carry

  • why oh why did I have to be born in the 90's and miss all this stuff.

  • @Matfen815 Because we get the awesome stuff like sweet epic video games, movies on demand, and justin beiber! Oh... wait... ignore that last one.

  • i remember this show. loved it. it was great. hulu has it on their site for free but damn the dvd is 65 bucks. and it only lasted one season. but for 65 bucks? that's too much!

  • @thebuckrogers22

Its $100 at the stores i went to but I bought it NEW at half.com for $21.00

  • Julius "Sho'Nuff" Carry.

  • Man, I just found out that Julius Carry, the actor that played Lord Bowler, died in 2008. Damn.

  • Shame on Fox for canceling it. I also liked the occasional guest star John Astin. I wonder if there is any shows that they never shown on TV.

  • how did the theme for this show become music used by NBC for the olympics when this was originally a show on the FOX network?

  • This theme song was so good they stole it and used it for the Olympics.

  • Groovy!!!

  • my dog with 13 years is named BRISCO

  • One of the most popular theme songs ever written, still raises the hair on the back of my neck when I hear it, even when the Olympics steals it!

  • I used to be obssesed with this show

  • I watched this often growing up, but I had forgotten how much I loved it until I saw this video. Thanks for posting!

  • I loved this show!

  • Hey, somebody help me out here.... What does U-F-O spell? lol

  • @puppetMattster Unearthed Foreign Object, which is "some mouthful."

  • i was Brisco for Halloween some where between 3rd and 5th grade. Bruce Campbell is the f'n MAN!!

  • Fantastic show. RIP Julius Carry.

  • @Vennegoor10 aww...really? when?

  • @GriffithAMPS Couple of years ago, died of cancer sadly.

  • @Vennegoor10 I just found that out recently. He was also Sho'Nuff The Shogun of Harlem (The Last Dragon)

  • I've been a fan of Bruce Campbell's movie since I first saw Evil Dead in the early to mid 80's. Never saw any of his TV series, but bought the entire Briscoe County series of Amazon last week and LOVED it. Wish I would have watched this when it first aired, but better now than never. I promptly went out and bought Jack Of All Trades too, but haven't watched any of that yet.

  • Love the theme song. Anyone know who the composer and the name of the song is? I believe it's the same song that is used during the olympics!!

  • @DK56837CB composer is Randy Edelman

  • All Hail the King of the B's!

  • That remembers me great times when I was younger, I loved this.

  • excellent show of all time

  • This show was part of the SCI-FI block on friday nights in 1993. It's counterpart was X-FILES.

  • Also, everyone I've ever shown this show too, from back when I had crappy VHS dubs to loaning out the DVD box set, has absolutely loved it. They usually had never heard of it and can't believe it was not a hit show.

  • Brisco was a Friday night tradition for me!

  • Hail to the King!

  • OMFGGGGGGG

After years of trying to remember the name of this show, here it is.

This brings me back, chillin on the couch in 2nd grade watchin tv with my dad. I loved this show as a little dude. Badass.

  • Man, that theme brings back memories. Great show.

  • I loved this show...I watched it every Saturday afternoon after the cartoons. I'm looking to pick up the DVDs now

  • @robbiewwebster The set is a must have

  • Man I love this. Bruce Campbell at his finest!

  • This was one of my favorite shows of all time. I believe the ratings started to drop when The X Files came on air. Too bad, I remember being so upset and confused when it didn't come back on.

  • @perfectclone25

I always remembered this show being on before the X-Files. When I was a kid, it was a 1 and a half hour program block I could enjoy with my father.

  • @perfectclone25 -

Actually, they started together and had about the same ratings. Fox decided to cancel Brisco and go all-in with X-files by giving it a"darker" lead in, which I believe was a POS called "VR-5". The rating for X-files really took off in the second season, but Fox never really found a decent opener.

I believe that Brisco would have taken off as well, if only they gave it the same chance they gave X-files.

  • I still dont understand why Fox Canceled this show after just one season

  • @NJTank

    Wasnt it to seasons?

  • @Verhoeven1980 Just one:(

  • Next Brisco County takes to the ice with the USA hockey team in Vancouver in the Winter Olympics here on NBC.

  • Bruce Campbell will always be one of my favorite actors of all time, regardless of how underrated Hollywood considers him. To me, he's entertaining, hilarious and witty, and made my Saturday mornings and evenings delightful and enlightening everytime I watched his TV shows back in the 1990s, from "Brisco County Jr." to "Jack of all Trades". Bruce, keep up the good work--you 're the best!!!!

  • And his chin.

  • For those who are not aware, Bruce Campbell IS on TV these days.

He's on Burn Notice. While he is not the lead, he does a great job playing Sam Axe, a - um - pseudo comedic side-kick to Jeffrey Donovan's Michael Weston.

I still prefer TAOBCJ to BN, but it is great to see BC working a regular gig.

As for this music... Yup. my heart swells every time I hear it.

For more info on this music search Randy Edelman.

  • Love this theme....NBC used it for their Major League Baseball coverage in 1996 and 1997....and they've used it during the Olympics since 2000

  • @dabomb2045

gives me goosebumps hearing it. I love the olympics

  • I miss that show. Used to watch it every Friday it was on.

  • I wish i could find the new version they made for the olympics, not this one

  • Adventures of Brisco County jr. came out the same time as the X-files on Fox. Its funny. The theme song for Brisco County, Far out lived the show.

  • wow, don't they use this theme for the olympics?

  • Yes they do, yes they do

  • one of my favorite shows growing up. action pack! so funny nbc uses this for the olympic music now. i always thought the music was overly epic for the show...but so good.

  • Randy Edelman and John Williams (the main NBC Olympics Theme) have to be two of the best composers of our time...

  • @marcio3santos Actually, NBC's main theme is a combination of "Bugler's Dream" by Leo Arnaud (the more famous first part) and "Summon the Heroes" by John Williams. "Bugler's Dream" plays during the flyover footage of the host nation; "Summon the Heroes" plays during the preview of the night's action.

  • Whaaaaaat, I never thought about/knew I watched this show but apparently I did - memories all coming back just flashing before my eyes now that I'm watching this intro! I didn't even know who Bruce Campbell was back then, for shame.

  • How is there no long version of this on Youtube?!

  • wow.. this really brings back memories... last thing i remember is the "orb" in one of the final episodes... lol

  • Best shared theme song on two networks since Double Dare (CBS)/Card Sharks (NBC).

  • I love how everyone notices this once the Olympics start. Every time, it's funny.

But yeah, epic song and tv show.

  • haha i was just thinking that myself, classic. weird that the show only lasted one season though, i thought it lasted longer than that.

  • Haha, I'm one of those people! I learned about this song - and the show - back during the 2008 summer olympics!

  • Welcome, brother.

  • i knew for YEARS the olympics ripped this song!! man i miss this series

  • NBC has used this as a secondary 'Olympics' theme for every Games beginning -w- 1996/Atlanta.

  • yea, that's why i said "years" in my original post. and yes, brisco county jr. came before 1996 olympics @ATL (in 1993).

  • No need to get defensive.

And I'm well aware of AoBC,J's original airdates.

  • I think it might have been one of the 1st olympics to be on NBC because back in the day it of course was on ABC

  • πολυ καλο

  • Just heard this during Olympic coverage!!!

  • It's the NBC Olympics Music!

  • EHEM... The Olympics took this theme!

  • arnaud1987: LOL WUT?

  • The DVD is out since 2006 ;)

  • I always loved this show. Bruce Campbell was part han solo and part indiana jones. I just wish they would put this on DVD already

  • It is on DVD, you can buy the complete series. It's a great collection!

  • to some he's the guy from spider man others the dude from Hercules but to me Bruce Campbell is and Will ALWAYS & Forever be Brisco County Jr To Me :)

  • I was crazy about this show as a kid... and I had a crush on Brisco/Bruce XD.

I hope they would show this series again. I totally would watch it. So nostalgic.

  • what is the name of this piece of music so I can buy it?

  • They don't make courageous shows like this anymore.

  • Bruce Campbell as Brisco County Jr. was one of my favorite non-animated series as a kid. Bruce was charismatic, cool and confident with a razor wit. This was the first western I really liked as a child. All hail the KING Bruce Campbell, hollywoods most underated actor.

  • @norfolk316 Daniel Day Lewis sleeps in Bruce Campbell pajamas.

  • @norfolk316 I agree 100%, loved this show when I was a kid in the early 90's... good memories from this show. was very sad when it ended...

  • Bruce Campbell had not seen the new Marlon Brando because he does not want, this guy has great talent for acting.

  • Bruce Campbell meets Wild Wild West. Totally awesome show with a terrific actor.

  • I remember watching this show with my dad as a kid. Good times. I too couldn't believe they canceled it so quickly.

  • You're right I mean the writers could have kept on going. According to the DVD set the writers & Campbell they were planning on having Brisco head back to his hometown and become Sherrif. If anyone's to blame its Fox network cause they had a strong following especially with the X-Files following.

  • Oh my God, I just noticed ... Campbell in cowboy garb looks so much like Woody from Toy Story it's not even funny. Check out the part at 0:52, specifically. Just something about his facial structure, eye positions, nose and mouth positions, etc that makes me think that somebody over at Pixar must have been a Brisco County Jr. fan.

Anyway, silly observation aside, I LOVED THIS SHOW as a kid. Used to watch it with my mom and dad. We were all shocked they cancelled it.

  • This was a great show. It was a cross between "Blazing Saddles" and the western dramas like "Cimarron Strip" and "Wanted: Dead or Alive."

  • One of my all time favorite shows! Man was I upset when they canceled it. I have it on DVD and I watch it all the time. FOX made a BIG mistake canceling this one.

  • @wreckingball34 That happens when not enough people watch the show.

  • @wreckingball34 You know TNT (Or TBS, I forget.) picked up the series and went on with the story, right?

  • It's odd hearing this song and not being told which gold medals Michael Phelps will be aiming for tomorrow night.

  • Or who's pitching for the Marlins in Game 3.

  • so many times they reused this track for the olympics

  • ahhh, they don't make shows like that anymore, i must've been 6 or 7. Bruce Campbell is the best, that new show burn notice, wouldnt be anywhere with out campbell, also ever notice fox cancels quality programing and replaces it with anne coulter...not really but you get my point

  • I was 8 when this aired and even then I was charmed by Bruce. >>;;

I really love this show. I bought it as soon as it came on DVD.

    I don't care what Bruce looks like, he's all fat and old now but I'd still molester him. >>;;

  • great show. my grandmother actually told me to track this show down not remembering anything but bruce campbell bein a cowboy. so i find it and buy it for her and now i cant stop watching it. fuckin retard fox canceling this thing after one season? good thing im not even done with it yet. oh well i can still watch him in burn notice. ill forever miss bowler though....

  • This show was so sweet. I remember the day I went to watch it and it wasnt on, and would NEVER be on again. (sigh) But out of all the episodes I saw I only remember that gold sphere thing with all the shit sticking out of it that was in that train car. Anyone remember that thing? I think it was like a nuclear bomb or something.

  • yes, the orb

  • This show aired on FOX

The theme was used by NBC for baseball coverage starting in 1996, also the same year FOX began airing baseball (FOX still airs baseball, but not NBC)

This show was produced by Warner Bros., whose parent Time Warner, would buy Turner Broadcasting, which owned the Atlanta Braves, also in 1996

    Is this all destiny?

  • Brisco FTW! Another great show FOX pulled the plug on :/ I would kill (maybe litteraly) for a reboot of this series, as long as they got BC to play Brisco again. RIP Julius Carry. you played the role of Lord Bowler so perfect!

  • By far, one of the best theme songs ever written.

MLB used it , Olympics still do.. just an insanely good musical score.

  • I was three years old when this show started and four years old when it got canceled, and yet I still remember it. It's one of my top ten t.v. shows. I love Bruce Campbell. Let's face it, the man was gorgeous! No one has ever looked better with permanent 5 o'clock shadow or a chainsaw for a hand. Groovy.

  • I just came.

  • i prefer him with a chainsaw attached to his wrist :)

  • He looks so young!

  • Best show to come out of The FOX network this needs to be brought back come on Showcase Action do it up Hail to the King Baby Bruce Campbell

  • I loved this show!

  • Kinda catts Indiana Jones

  • man i used to love this show soooooooooooooooooooo much

  • me too. just remembered the song so i searched for it. gonna name my son brisco hehehe

  • They should continue the series. Campbell still looks just as good as he did back then.

A complete remake would be bullshit though.

  • Great theme! Brings back memories of the 96 & 97 MLB playoffs since NBC used this as their theme those years.

  • They used it for 1998 as well. I just watched my tape of Game 1 of the 1998 ALCS between Cleveland and New York and it was used in the opening. Great stuff.

  • They also use it at the olympics now when they're previewing the following days events. But if you think this is great for baseball, have you ever heard the CBS theme from 90-93? That was really classic.

  • I loved the show. Too bad it ended :(

  • This and Richard Dean Anderson's "Legend" were two lighthearted westerns that came out at (I think) about the same time, give or take a year.

Both were fun, irreverent, clean, entertaining shows, with the occasional science-fiction twist.

Both shows had short lives and died with a whimper, and today hardly anyone remembers them. It's a real shame.

Would love to see a remake of either or both, but it just wouldn't be the same.

If they were available on DVD, that would be good enough.

  • I'd love for both shows to be available on DVD. I had never heard of them until after they were off the air, but they both look really interesting!

  • This show is on DVD you can order it from best buy.

    Hope that helps.

  • You can get the entire series of Brisco County on amazon i believe, don't know about that "Legend" show as i've never seen it. I remember watching this show as a kid and it's where i discovered Bruce Campbell. Everytime i saw him in some other tv show or movie i was like "There's Brisco County jr!".

  • Hey, arne3285, lmao, american idol didn't come out till years after this show aired. And reality shows were far from being the cause of its cancellation! But for your information the real reason of its cancellation was partly because it aired during the "friday night death spot". And largely because it just didnt get enough viewers. By the end of its first season it ranked 111th out of 121 shows.

  • Wow, it's a good thing I asked for your information, thanks for the input.

  • Yeah, dnt mention it.

  • I loved Brisco County, Jr. and never watched the show that came after it. But to be fair the show afterwards matters, as it also aired on Friday and wound up becoming a 90's phenomenon.

    That show was The X-Files.

So, we can't just blame Brisco's failure on it being on Friday.

There simply weren't enough viewers tuning into see it.

  • Every friday i looked forward to coming home from school to watch 2 shows...

    Briscoe County Jr at 8

    X Files at 9

That was 1994...this show made that year for me.

  • i remember that very well

  • The reason it was cancelled was because Fox was becoming more interested in American Idol and "reality" shows.

  • lmao, he who thinks he knows all...

  • This show is and was always better then almost everything else on fox..

  • How come this song was copied for the Olympics?

  • Probably NBC/Universal owns the rights to the music or something...or they bought them

  • Because it's the shit!

  • I don't know how this show made its way to Spain, but I really loved it.

  • What a shame that this show was canceled. Action, comedy, adventure, sci-fi, romance, it had everything.

  • is there a name for this song?

  • Brisco County Jr. is a bad ass motherfucker!!!

  • i heard they're doing another army of darkness/evil dead. no shit

  • This show was so fuckin awesome!

  • does anyone know the actual name of this theme song? i love it and it fits in with the olympics so well

  • I tried to look it up on iTunes as "Brisco County Jr." and all that came up were cheap copies of the song lol...

  • wow this song just fits perfectly into the dramatics of an olympic games. NBS picks the best theme songs

  • I agree 100% on that!
