Yes ,it´s an open tuning. It´s described on the "description box " just beloww the video, But anyway, the tuning is:

DADDAD.

That´s how I play it. It doesn´t mean it´s the right way, but I think it´s very similar to the original.

I love it since the first time i heard it. Some songs are timeless.and get better every time you hear it. I play it in a bar sometime as a (hobby) dj, and always get good remarks on it.

Your version is actually quit good, im kind of critical ,but got not much to do here. (exept 1 part :))thanks 4 making the song understandable (sorry english is not my first language)

Great! What tuning? It must be E or D. I play it in open tuning but this is great. The only fault is not showing yourself but that's OK. I will find out the tuning shortly. I have always loved this song.

Yes, it's the "same" but the chord voicings are different. To my ear, standard tuned down a whole step, sounds correct (Em, Am7, G, C, etc.) but I like your version very much. Simon did use open tunings occasionally, like Dominic's excellent YT vid of "Armistice Day" in DADGAD.

Yes, I was ashamed when I saw Dominichazell playing ARMISTRACE DAY , EVERYTHING PUT TOGETHER or HEART AND BONES.I love the way he plays the guitar.

Simon actually tuned down a whole step when he recorded "Peace..." so the chord shape was in Em, even though it was in the key of Dm.

Well if you tunr a note below to the standard tuning, then you are in D tuning and a Em chord is a Dm in standard tuning.....so it´s the same , but I always tought that he played in an open tuning......... Have you ever seen a P. Simon´s video of this song in Youtube?

If you listen to the original carefuly, you´ll notice there are 2 guitars playing,one of them ( I guess ) in an open tuning and the other the usual.Maybe I´m wrong but I could swear its that way, and there are sounds that you can only find in an open tuning,that I didn´t find with the " E" tuning so.......it had to be.
