my daughter was born with gastoschisis feb 10 2009 and she is celebrating her 2nd b-day. My miracle baby!!!! God Bless you and your beautiful baby or should i say little lady now :)
We did 7 months NICU then 8 months in and out of peds for IV infections, feed tube placements. Wondering if you are doing everything right, one nurse od our baby, trust no one you know more than nurse change every 12 hours. Communication is key, and if you dont like the RN get a new one, it is fine to touch her. We took everything home except the breathing machine. We had infection (ecoli) after sewed up, had to be her voice to take the dressing off to show Dr it was bad, 2 years strong.
i lost my daughter at 15 days old from complications from gastroschisis, so its bittersweet to see these videos... hopefully your baby girl is doing well... :)

Wow, brings back so many heart aches. Our grandson went through this. 8 months in hospital before he got home. Was hard on us all but it has a happy ending. 5 years old now and is not having any problems. My prayers are with your family. Please update soon.
