@wale43703 not when you're playing Liszt. A song of this caliber and prestige deserves to be understood and played according to the intent of the composer. How do you achieve this? by studying its history. Any idiot studying music at a 9th tier community college can make this song according to how one "feels", but that defeats the objective of playing Liszt pieces in the first place.
