@vinniemass Why do people always feel the need to compare , to say that something is better. Music at it's core allows for different, but no less meaningful interpretations of songs and compositions. A more positive and mature outlook would be to enjoy what each musician or singer is bringing to the table and stop COMPARING. Listen and enjoy, music is a gift from God.
@starfly7 oh, no...this comment was from 3 months ago and opinions can change in 3 months. i totally can see what you're saying now a days...
hmmm...nops...milton nascimento is better.
but seriously: I'm comparing different versions of the same music. dont see anything wrong with it. if someone makes a different version of this song and ask my opinion i will give my opinion instead of: "why people always feel the need...blablabla..." ok? sorry if that hurts your feelings.
@vinniemass Your flippant comment shows what an idiot you are. You didn't hurt my "feelings", I was expressing a fact. People are always downgrading others art by always something is better than another. But then again your pea sized brain wouldn't be able to grasp that concept.
@starfly7 I'm not downgrading as a fact, but as an opinion. i agree that it wasn't clear at my first comment, but it was at the second. i don't see way it bothers you so much to the point of getting personal, but hey...I'm the pea sized brain, right? i will keep on expressing my opinion. just hope you're not there next time cause i don't feel like judging your brain size or anything like that. is it too much to ask just to leave me alone? like..seriously?
This was so cool in the early 70s when my crowd thought we were grown and experiencing our own jazz and culture. Lot of beauty in this. Omg, does it take me back to the days. Thanks. Get down Stanley, I love you so much so RIP with Shirley. And could someone please get the Lamp is Low by him and Shirley? It was introduced on the Everybody Loves a Lover album. I lost my copy. Thanks again!!!! Peace
Back in the 70's, I bought this album for 99 cents off the rack at a grocery store. I have been a Turrentine fan ever since. I always dug the cover. Remnded me of the Northern California coast.
@motorcityquig I dig that. It made me feel that I could just walk through that scenic view and the music sounds something like the rush of the water. Haunting, beautiful, the whole package and the good life. Go Stan...and RIP Peace
One of my all time favs from Mr. T - he cooks, especially the run he goes on after the Jeepers Creepers quote. Dazzling. And Cobham's work here is also amazing. Thanks for posting!
This song and record are priceless! Pure gold! Thanks Stanley!
