I've really enjoyed Mema's Alaskan Tacos in the historic Ybor City neighborhood of Tampa, FL. The tacos and meat are deep fried together and then toppings are added. It's not a cart exactly but I would consider it "street food." Another interesting place here is called El Taconazo, a.k.a. Taco Bus... That's -definitely- cart food ;)
I like these tacos you can get from Jimmy Gringos near my university in Ontario. It sucks that you can't get proper tacos in Canada without really looking for them, and this is only a step up from Taco Bell, but it's so good.
@MarieFace Where are you from? Cause the ones in my city are good. The shells are nice and crisp and filed to the brim. I did some of the ones outside West Washington are pretty gross tho.
@MarieFace Aha..i see now. I believe the ones in Central Wash are by a different franchise. West Wash ones are the Jose's Taco Time and much different than the other ones. If ya want, i can message you a link to the ones over here. A wide variety on their menu to please everyone.
@thePowerPlant Hey - Dan here. Thanks for the comment. You're right that they're in the gooseberry family, but they are in fact a variant of the tomato too. Plus, most people don't know what gooseberries are. :)
My favorite tacos are the al pastor tacos at Taco Sinaloa in Torrance, CA. It is the BEST al pastor that I've ever had. A close second has to be the asada and cabeza tacos at Tacos Chava in Hawaiian Gardens, CA.
My favorite tacos are the ones my mom makes, she makes her pot roast for dinner then the next day she uses the meat for tacos!! YUm yUm yum... and we usually make home made guacamole and have chips and everything!!
Were actually eating it for dinner tonight and making home made strawberry ice cream because my Uncle that lives far away is coming! haha
My favorite tacos are the ones I make at home. It's hard to get a good amount of veggies everyday, so I make a homemade taco seasoning, mix it with ground (fake) meat and use a couple of pieces of romaine lettuce as the taco shell. Surprisingly delicious (and refreshing).
Hands down, my favorite place to eat here in Austin! :)

Tomatillos are not related to tomatoes. They are more similar to the cape goose berry.

Why does every "good" food from this report comes from trailers? Must be American thing? lol
BOBIzizou87 1 year ago
And how come always is everything delicious, tastes great, really juicy... etc
I would expect harsh critique sometimes. Or is this advertising for every trailer "restaurant" out there?
BOBIzizou87 1 year ago
@BOBIzizou87 no hes only going to the trailer restaurants.....I've actually hardly seen an trailer restaurants in America at all
