@Kingdom007Hearts Thats what I thought. At first before even knowing who composed the score for the series, I was already thinking it was maybe John Williams who composed the show. It would have beeen sweet Shirley scored a batman movie.
Thanks for sharing this! I always loved how each individual episode had unique themes. I wish I could find music from Appointment in Crime Alley around here!
Without the musical score of Shirley Walker, I don't think Batman: TAS would have been as popular as it was. The score is simply amazing, with this particular piece being a prominent example.
La La Land Records released a Volume 1 2CD set which sold out a few days ago, future volumes will undoubtedly feature this episode score -- just be patient.
Shirley Walker Rocks! She is as a good of a composer as Harry-Gregson Williams, Hans Zimmer and John Williams

Technically, she did: BATMAN: MASK OF THE PHANTASM was in theaters. And she orchestrated on Elfman's '89 BATMAN score.

It's insulting to put Harry and Zimmer above her.

@tharpdevenport i didnt necessarily put her below those 3. i just listed a few modern composers off the top of my head

This is fantastic! I have been looking for this score for years. Is there any way I can get the source/music from you?
I, a Shirley Walker fanatic, would be very grateful.
