thats what i call music i least u can dance to it not like todays rap shit best rock band i ever heard i have all there vinyl albums today ther still rocking u'll never see todays band last that long
On the most recent episode of "Sons of Anarchy" (kick ass show!) they used this song. I hadn't heard in so long, but as soon as I heard it I had to hear it again. CCR and John Fogerty (amazing voice) have both been highly under rated in my opinion. Didn't & still don't seem to get the recognition they deserve. This song & their music still rocks after all these years.
Que bueno el video nunca habia visto el cantante de un cuarteto ser quien da los acordes en la guitarra además de ser el compositor. John Fogerty es uno de los grandes en la historia de Rock and Roll.
This song was one of the first I heard of the RAC, I remember this song at the factory where we work I and my brother in Sao Paulo in the years 80.Entre other things as tennis star ... all U.S. influence in Brazil was, is intense myth until this day. My brother loves this banda.
Jm4u2b4. Stone age news. Where did get the assumption that you can make a statement from your ivory tower of 'knowledge' and generalize that everyone think they are from the South? None I know think so (Sweden, Europe) Maybe many US people are plain ingnorants? I've been to US many times and, for example, none I met in Minnesota had ever heard about the late Eddie Cochran and that he was born in Albert Lea. I had even to spell that towns name. So what are you doing with your musical legacy?
OK, I replied to another person 10 MONTH's ago so I hope you don't care me watching what I wrote. Some water have streamed under the bridges since then. BTW, who are we? And how do you/we preserve/care about it? Of course the people (I met) in MN had other things on their minds. Who cares about Eddie born/breeded in that state? That's life. But I have a tendency - maybe irritating for some - seeing things from my pov. lol Though I do believe most people do that, consciously/unconsciously.
lol you know wuts funny is that when they were on tour in louisiana they had a funny incident where they were trying to check into their hotel in baton rouge and the fellow who owned the hotel refused to let them in because they all had long hair....he knew darn well they weren't from the south...lol
real fucking music died when Willy & the Po' Boys broke up...Fuck all this rap shit and all this dance club crap, the Creedence blows ALL that SHIT outa the water...
Why did you overdub these loud crowd noises? What was wrong with the way it was? Didn't it sound good enough for you? Was it not exciting enough for you? You ruined a perfectly good clip, especially since it's the only version of it available on YouTube. You didn't add excitement or real applause/recognition-for-the-band, you only added insult to injury.
Fogerty was too friggin cheap to shell out for a PA system proper. Flippin miser. That´s what imploded the band eventually...dude wanted a bigger cut.
Of COURSE it's gonna sound crappy coming at you via the Internet. What did you expect? Concert-hall quality?
Plus, all that blasting audience noise was overdubbed in post-production. I have a DVD of this show without any editing, titles, closeups, etc., and the band's sound is strong and clear.
Live-music critics remarked in Creedence's heyday that Fogerty's voice was well-miked and amplified. Don't blame crap sound on the Big Internet Boondoggle. Digital sucks!
Doesn't matter, you see how there's still thousands of people there, that's one reason, the quality isn't that great, you can barely hear him over all the yelling and cheering
awesome ..whac it on in the 4x4 and fang down the sand tracks full on...sweet

Just a re-make of Little Richards Long Tall Sally but very very well done!
andrewr62 11 months ago
@andrewr62 its not the same as long tall sally
EOSRI1 8 months ago
@EOSRI1 No exact but close enough. There's little doubt Fogherty was influenced by
Little Richard. Chord progress and breaks are exactly the same. They are even in the
same key. CCR also covered Good Golly Miss Molly.

If I want to hear "live" music I'll go to a concert.

I love how at the end of the last chorus, instead of his usual scream, he says "oh no". His voice sounded like it was starting to go a bit. lol
What a GREAT voice he had when he was in his early twenties.

chezsunset, I agree, but I also think he has a great voice now.

CCR is from San Francisco, not the south. Because of Born on the Bayou and Green River and them swampy sounds everyone assumes they're southern.

We have a pretty big musical legacy. Maybe the people you met in MN just don't share your interests.

Maybe I should post a clip from my DVD.

the PA system isn't SO bad if you listen to ''the concert'' cd. the qaulity is perfect
dutchccr 4 years ago
Agreed, but the CD version of 'The Concert' has a lot of reverb added to it. The original vinyl version from 1980 sounds way better.
Even John Fogerty said the CD version sounds "like a big canyon."
El135o 4 years ago
I guess you're right. the sound of the cd is very...empty, or how do you say that?
