It's by Billy Fogarty, and as far as I know, it (as well as every other song cover in this game) was made specifically for EBA.

Yeah, definately one of the harder parts of the song, because not only do they have 13-beat combos in between each one, but they make the patterns VERY similar, and deliberately switch up the order, so you think it's the same, and BAM. Instant failure.

Yeah, pretty much. If you play through the hard modes and go back to the easy modes, they're hard to get, because you're used to being on the beat, where the less difficult modes only hit very specific occasional beats.

A lot of the time in hard mode the notes are so close to each other if you lose track of the beat you can just mash the screen and still land them xD

Easy mode is just sitting around waiting for the notes, and there's so many possible places they could be it's like... is it now? Nope. Now? Nope. Dammit.
