This is amazing! Please upload his desciple Mysore N.Sudarshan's Tanis. Sudarshan plays as amazingly as the guru. We get even confused whether it is Karaikudi sir or Sudarshan sir.

Yes that video was posted by 'percussionfan'. And another version was posted in french heading i think.

You should find him and ask him why he removed it. I suspect he may have uploaded it without permission.

Clones? No i am not a clone of anybody. If you know about computers you can verify that yourself. I am here in the UK. It is highly unlikely that Tyagu is flying all the way from India to the UK to make a clone youtube account.

in this piece, it's 8/4 and he's playing 32nds with lots of syncopation / rests, so it doesn't sound like a 4-based rhythm even though it is.

you can write carnatic rhythms in western notation, it's just a pain. this one is no exception.

Thanks for posting not as KR mani is rare on youtube. I see he is playing a Kappi mridangam which is also rare. I would love to try a kappi mridangam.
