are these people fucking retarded? it's not that hard to put in a little effort and creativity into acting like you're living in ancient rome speaking latin...dammit these imbeciles
@itsanawesomeguy You're pretentious because you're proclaiming these people as 'imbecile', 'retarded' or 'idiot' because you believe them to be below your acting standards, which obviously are moronically high seeing as this is a class project; i.e it wasn't designed to be a damn Hollywood masterpiece.
@doncini3000 that's not pretentious dumbass, these idiots don't know how to give a good effort, they fail, my standards are my standards, i guess my standards are too high relative to yours so you label them pretentious because of envy? Seems like the case dumbass
I would like to start a non-celibate order in the Catholic Church where the clergy would devote their lives to the fluent learning of Latin and raise their children in the language. Eventually they in turn can start schools of Latin to spread knowledge of it to the lay people to the point where it is our universal secret language!!! Mwahahahah! I'd like to freak out my Protestant buddies=)
Because, like Ancient Greek, it has crucially been a part of European intellectual life for over 2000 years. All of the Romance languages are derived from it, and it has had a tremendous impact on the most influential language on the entire planet--English. A desire to learn the language of one of the cultures that has been traditionally labeled as one of the foundations of Western civilization is not terribly crazy.
@FunUsernamesAreGone oh,okay you should learn other languages, that way you could communicate in other language :)like Spanish,Italian,German,Dutch, etc
not bad, but try and give it an italian accent so that you pronounce the words right. If your native language is english i don't blame you, the accents are quite different.
That is not true. Italians have the annoying habit to say "Chaesar" instead of "Kaesar". Everyone can speak Latin properly, but I think that it's easier for Spaniards, due to the plain and literal pronunciation of Spanish.
it fits more to italian language.. i think Church taught this kind of reading to "vulgus" when Latin still was our national language, along with local languages. Surely, in a first time the correct pronounciation of Caesar was Kaesar, and not Chesar as we italians say, we pronounce G and C as in italian and we pronounce the diphtongs as one letter.. but apart from that, our pronounciation should be the nearest one to the Latin language.
I don't think they are retarded, but it doesn't seem like they practiced at all.
