Im young and i was 18 when i found John MacArthurs sermons online and i still watch them i love that church the only thing that opens the door to recieving true salvation is sound bible teaching on the gospels and the new testiment, not yoga, how silly, and this guy rejects that the scriptue can relieve stress and bring confidence to a believer, well i would say if he is a christian he really has fallen away from the faith and needs to get on the right track.. IF he is a true Christian.
It's not that young people don't go to church, it's that they don't believe in God at all. Many of them have picked up the idea that believers are crazy because of upbringing of parents like that woman. That "crazy" guy is John McArthur and he speaks from the heart of the Bible. How much more they must have thought our Lord crazy in His day. He was crazy in His love for His people. He paid the piper for them. For strangers and those yet born. How crazy is that? He ain't crazy he's Jesus.
Let us not forget the little known 11th commandment! "I am the LORD thy God and I made you in my image which is fat and arthritic and thou shalt not try and have healthy and supple bodies for I am a jealous God and shall smite those who can bend down and touch their toes because I can not."
The body parts of those of the same sex do not co-incide with one another and do not work together in any logical sense. Therefore no logical argument can even be made. I am not trying to pass judgement in the case of heaven or hell, every sin is forgivable because of the Atonemnt of Jesus Christ but there also needs to be repentance meaning if you are still gay you have not repented and your sin has not been forgiven. With that being said you can't argue homosexuality scripturally or logically
Scripturally being gay is wrong that is easy to see and understand but that of a natual man who does not know God as stated in scripture will continue to do such evil things and also approve of those who practice them. This brings me to the understanding that Mr. Gaybasher is not a Christian and therefore cannot understand the scriptures but try to find ways to disprove scripture, by trying to find some type of personal logic in doing so. I've done yoga for exercise, and I found AFTER the fact that it was good for meditation. Meditation is commanded in the Bible. All that really matters is what (who) you're meditating on!

John MacArthur was clear when he answered this question; "What am I opening myself up to spiritually, that would go against my Christian faith?"[answer] "if it is just purely exercise, and you are a strong Christian; it probably wouldn't have any impact on your faith." ... It is clear, that if we are not looking for yoga as a 'spiritual' help, or cleansing, or as ANYTHING other than an exercise, then it is ok. But when we NEED it, to somehow further the experience of Christianity; this is wrong.

Gods doesn't exist. There, problem solved. Yoga helps people physically and psychologically (and most religious people could use some psychological healing). John MacArthur made the distinction between spiritual practice and exercise. He called them two different topics, which is true. The combo of stretching/balance/strength exercises, which we in the US call "yoga", is just that... exercise. If you're doing yoga as worship, and you're a Christian, that's a problem. Both pastors have valid points, like Dr MacArthur said, the bible teaches salvation and wholeness as found in Christ and Christ alone, but like the other pastor alluded to, the bible says physical exercise is of some profit, and if you do the physical exercises without the 'mind games', it is ok. If you are christian and still conflicted, i would encourage u 2 read 1 corinthians 8 where Paul talks about food offered to idols.God bless

This is called sanctification. It is not equivalent to salvation. Any Christian who is saved is loving, and therefore does not participate in verbally abusing others like you do. I question whether the love of God is in you, sir. Do you have a Bible? Read James 4:11, "Brothers do not slander one another..."

@rickw1100 This will be my last reply. Your theology is seriously skewed. Salvation is by only by God's grace through faith only in Christ only. Eph. 2:8-9 and Rom. 3:21-26. The entire point of the epistle to Romans and Galatians was to prove this point. When you come across passages that make it seem like you need to work for your salvation think again. Works is evidence of salvation not the means to it. You're greatly mistaken.

It's not that young people don't go to church, it's that they don't believe in God at all. The body parts of those of the same sex do not co-incide with one another and do not work together in any logical sense. Therefore no logical argument can even be made. I am not trying to pass judgement in the case of heaven or hell, every sin is forgivable because of the Atonemnt of Jesus Christ but there also needs to be repentance meaning if you are still gay you have not repented and your sin has not been forgiven. With that being said you can't argue homosexuality scripturally or logically

It is clear, that if we are not looking for yoga as a 'spiritual' help, or cleansing, or as ANYTHING other than an exercise, then it is ok. I love John McArthur but this is RIDICULOUS. He states it early that if it's for exercise it's cool. He should have left it at that. Yoga itself, the movements, are just that. Do you give gifts and open presents on Dec 25th? That has NOTHING to do with the Bible or Christ. Same thing with Easter.

John MacArthur made the distinction between spiritual practice and exercise. He called them two different topics, which is true. The combo of stretching/balance/strength exercises, which we in the US call "yoga", is just that... exercise. If you're doing yoga as worship, and you're a Christian, that's a problem. Both pastors have valid points, like Dr MacArthur said, the bible teaches salvation and wholeness as found in Christ and Christ alone, but like the other pastor alluded to, the bible says physical exercise is of some profit, and if you do the physical exercises without the 'mind games', it is ok. If you are christian and still conflicted, i would encourage u 2 read 1 corinthians 8 where Paul talks about food offered to idols.God bless

Gospel of Mark 14:12 claims Jesus prepared for the Last Supper on the “first day of Unleavened Bread, when they sacrificed the Passover lamb.” = seder. Seder meal is a Jewish celebration of The Passover.

@rickw1100 The gospel's main objective is to save men from hell. As a result of the Holy Spirit indwelling a man he manifest's the character of Christ and thus becomes loving. This is called sanctification. It is not equivalent to salvation. Any Christian who is saved is loving, and therefore does not participate in verbally abusing others like you do. I question whether the love of God is in you, sir. Do you have a Bible? Read James 4:11, "Brothers do not slander one another..."

@rickw1100 This will be my last reply. Your theology is seriously skewed. Salvation is by only by God's grace through faith only in Christ only. Eph. 2:8-9 and Rom. 3:21-26. The entire point of the epistle to Romans and Galatians was to prove this point. When you come across passages that make it seem like you need to work for your salvation think again. We don't need young people just going to church (there's plenty of unsaved people in church) we need them to find Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, yoga is not an integral part of the Gospel message...the Bible tells us to look to the Word of God for all things, including peace that passes understanding. The fact that you mocked that statement reveals much about your doctrinal beliefs- they are set more on the world than on God's inspired Word.

You need to learn to have a rational conversation without making personal attacks "not Christ" which essentially means I’m hell bound. You do realise that MacArthur has being preaching Lordship salvation since as long as I remember which means if someone is not living a life that testifies change or bears fruit(that would encompass this passage) , it was a false conversion, as James teachers someone’s lifestyle/good works provides a means of authenticating someone’s profession of faith.

I'm not surprised. You look to minions like MacArthur because the Lord's demands as spelled out in Matt. 25, 31-46 require too much of you. Its' easier to attack others for something as benign as "yoga"- how can you call yourself a Christian!!! You show me where MacArthur EVER preaches the absolute necessity of living out the words found in this passage. Try - he never does, because he is not of God, but a false prophet (Matt 7 15-23).
