I've always had issues with the back of my hair. My hair is stick straight and normally I just use foam rollers overnight or during the day for about 5 hours. But with pincurls, I had to keep the back up for an extra hour or so, and making them very tight helps. Lovely videos!
i have completely flat hair (with a weird wavy bit in the back, actually) and whenever I try pincurls they come out very frizzy and messy and pretty much fall out within the hour. Do you have any tips for us pin-straight girls looking to keep their curl?
Hi! :D um i was wondering if its hard to do this, i i have short choppy layered hair? i have alot of layers and i usually curl my hair with my straightner, but in the back it just gets flippy. any suggestions? please and thankyou :D
i have the same problem, ive been doing my hair like that for a while and i use smaller curlers at the back, the hair is longer, i find it curls more. You are gorgeous ^^ Love the vids.
thank you so much I was kinda scared to try it because I have really really curly hair but the puddy prevented the ends from curling up and I slept in the pin curls which i think helped as well. I also did smaller curls in the back and it looks awesome. Thank you again for posting this video along with the links to Aya and Lisa videos. They were all very helpful!
Hi Casey, I actually watched Lisa's tut first and then watched your vid. I have already been subscribed to both of you ladies for a little while now. I love your pin curl look, very classy. Keep up the good work! I love your clothes though too in this vid and several others, where do you get them?
Do you think maybe you could post a video showing how you did your pin-curls? I love love love the way they look and Aya's and Lisa's videos have a few differences so I'm not sure exactly how you did it . . . Anyway, you look gorgeous!
Hi! I have a bit of a question, do you know any vintage hairstyles for bangs except a high ponytail? I'll probably comment on your channel later on too, but your video's are awesome :)
I just use a generic brand I picked up at Sally Beauty Supply. :) I know Garnier Fruitics has a version too, if you're looking for a budget-friendly putty.
Can you please tell me if I can find the diagram you used for your haircut (or something similar) somewhere in the internet?
I love how it turned out!
I looked for a book like the one you showed, but unfortunately bookshops in my city aren't exacly the best equipped in the world - it's a miracle they have Harry Potter, I can't hope for "1940s Hairstyles"! XD
I ordered a book called 'Creative Hairstyling' on Amazon for about 20.00 It has the haircutting diagrams in it as well as the pincurl settings for most major 1940's looks. :)
Wow...you look gorgeous! Post this as a video response to my tutorial, if you don't mind. I'd like people to see the difference that hair texture makes. :)
Coincidentally, I tried pincurls for the first time today. Unfortunately, mine didn't come out as stunningly as yours, but you've inspired me to try again! =]
It looks great! You remind me of Rachel McAdams as Allie in the notebook!

Gorgeous look. =) The pearl string is so beautiful, how did you tie it?
Is it made with real pearls or pretty faux ones?
ashers303 9 months ago
@ashers303 It's a faux pearl strand. :) I just fold it in half and (gently so not to break the string) tie it in a knot. Super easy!

I love your hairstyles, but ever consider trying to make a tutorial for finger waves?
I'm not quite sure if that is exactly a dead on 40s hair style, but it is vintage!
I've seen other tutorials on it, but they are all much too confusing.
Then again, you don't have to, but that would be cool to see!
God bless!
soullover123456 11 months ago
@soullover123456 Unfortunately I don't have that much experience/knowledge with fingerwaves! :/ But thanks for asking!

@QueenOfTheJoker I don't quite remember (it was a year ago!), but it was most likely either MAC's "Russian Red" or Revlon's classic red.
