  • Great idea!! I've already been planning on making a pillow and this helps me to know some of the things I didn't know about making one like cutting the corners:)

    Thanks!

    Keep it up!

  • hey thats almost exactly how I made a pillow in school execpt we didn't add the stiches in the end; in 6th grade, goin 2 7th

  • You can purchase cedar chips very cheaply by purchasing bedding for hamsters or other small pet rodents!

  • Oh my god. Your dog is so cute! =)

  • Thumbs up!! DOUBLED :D

great job...i made a pillow out of ur techniche my cat absolutly LOVES it

  • I was looking for a video on easy sewing for my interested little child, I thought this would be great, it started out so, however, I was looking for a little more detail, for someone who has never seen a sewing machine. I love the making of a pattern sheet, pinning the material, but we missed out on the sewing view, and the visibility of the pillow stuffing. Just some comments, that's all.

  • thats really pro well done great work 5*

  • Would this pattern work with other materials?

  • Yes, you can use other fabrics. I'd go for medium to heavy weight fabrics though - denim, any upholstery fabric, heavier broadcloth, canvas, or you could recycle old blankets, pillows, jackets...

  • great video! i just got my first sewing machine yesterday, and this looks like a cute & easy project. I'll try and make one for each of my dogs. :o)

  • what did you do with the top part?

  • I threw it away. It had holes in it :)

  • why do u use cheader chips?!

  • Cedar chips are sometimes used in dog bedding to help control odor.

  • omg i love your dog! whats its name????????

  • His name is Sisco. :)

  • great idea, I love it!

  • Great idea! My dog also loves to sleep in the laundry basket. Cute dog. What kind of dog is it?

  • He's a Pomeranian. :)

  • how did you sew the three sides together?

  • I used a basic straight stitch on a sewing machine.

  • I'm going to be attempting to make pillows for my new couch & this video looks great! Sure hope I don't sew my hands together! HEHEHEH! Thank you for posting this.

  • sewing's for Grandmas :|

  • Your videos are the best! I love this idea and it looks very comfortable.

  • Another great idea but make sure you think about Fido's comfort before making another pet bed that may cause him/her discomfort to sleep on... Great way to recycle old clothes...

  • Not sure why this causes discomfort? Nothing like a soft old pair of jeans...I wouldn't turn it down if I were a pup!

  • Nice dog!

  • THIS is by far the coolest idea to save you money from those cheap FLEX GEL PET BEDS some other guy is trying to pond off. Make your own pet beds, forget paying high prices for cheap beds you will replace in weeks anyways. Great idea...

  • Thanks! Yes, we have a few dogs and they like to chew on things :) Needless to say we go through pet beds several times a year, it can get expensive! I got the idea because ours kept trying to sleep in our laundry. This is a neat way to recycle old clothes that might have holes in them (you can patch the hole or cut that section off, whichever.)

  • how cool! I'm gonna make one like this with my old trousers.

  • this was awesome!

  • thanks! wat a fuzzzy doggie!
