  • Buddy, can't you tell just by the film quality that this isn't from the '60s?

  • "Crassus" - what a fitting name for the very epitome of crassness and barbarism, all the while masquerading as the defender of civilization and justice.

  • oh my God!

look at 0.14, isn't this guy who fail upon William Wallace ????

  • @cdmontano yeah thats def the guy from braveheart

  • @TheMuffGoblin so this is a fake ... this is not from 60's

  • @cdmontano The guy got his facts wrong, looked it up on imdb and this is from the 2004 Spartacus TV Movie

  • even the voice of this idiot sounds gay.

  • speach of Laurence Olivier is better beyond comparison !

  • i love this movie!

  • Same shit.

    Different century.

  • This is actually from the USA TV movie made in 2004.

  • President Bush's favorite part of the film I guess. Too bad he fail to live up to the billing of the great Roman Emperors and Consuls. Instead he drove the modern version of the Western Roman Empire to ruin and failure.

  • I was thinking the same thing.

  • Romans never used beards.

  • has anyone ever 'used' a beard at all?

  • Touché!

  • Your missing out man.

  • Sure they did, look at Marcus Brutus (the one who threw out Tarquin).

  • Brutus didn't have a beard.

  • Totally false Istojataachatearme. Just google Lucius Junius Brutus. Game, set, match.

  • No, He was talking about Marcus Brutus. And this isn't a game, so cut the attitude.

  • You wrote: "Romans never used beards."

That is a strictly liable statement of fact, one which can, unfortunately, be contradicted through the use of one contrary example. I stated that the member of the Brutus family who overthrew the Tarquin king used a beard. Lucius Junius Brutus had a beard, as did many Romans of the early republic. It isn't a game, but when you make an incorrect statement of fact, be prepared to be corrected.

  • yes, I shouldn't have said 'never', just 98 % of them or something. And first ou said Marcus Brutus, that one was beardless.

  • wheres lawrernce oliver!!?

  • This is not the 1960's version - I'm sure its the most recent tele-movie one of the noughties.

  • I agree, this is the latest TV version. Not too bad really, but at least the characters are not so as greater than life as in the original film. The story is done very well for a TV movie and cast does a decent job.
