As a spanish speaker I can say you that I havent had any problem to understand your little speach. The beauty of this of this language is that there is no official accent; and the main goal is fluent communication, not perfection. Perfection can be a brake for the practice, and practice makes perfection. ;-P Good is good enough.
al fin y al cabo interlingua es cien veces más facil que el esperanto, aún si también es fácil. ¡Yo también apoyo la Interlingua! ... aunque últimamente le están llamando interlingua al inglés y nada más lejos... empezando por las raices latinas de la propia palabra...
First at all is not american accent; there's not an american accent, it's (statonitese) accent and second is posibble that the official accent can be latin languages pronunciation
@korelamerikano first, statonitese should be the same as "of united states"; about latin pronuntiation, yeah I think so, but in this way the pronuntiation of the G for example "Legere" is wrong because in pronuntiation of latin language it sounds like the final GE in "languaGe" so a "soft" G like the american J for Junction or subJect.. this is a common mistake in Interlingua speakers because they don't know this! or "tangere" (touch) should be something like "TanJere"... that's my opinion.bye!
In my opinion Interlingua should add optional accent marks to mark stress, maybe for beginners. Maybe it should be taught with accent marks first for beginners to learn the correct stress in words first, then later it can be optionally used or not. This would be to compromise the possible ambiguity in pronunciation for beginners as well as the fact that accents may hinder the simplicity, ease of typing, ease of reading on computers, etc etc. ....? Do you agree?
@phr4nk3rd00d13 Here is a comment 1 year later... It just seems a bit difficult to learn. Maybe in comparison to natural languages it's easy, but then again, compare it to LFN. I gave up on learning it, but the concept is really not so bad. But couldn't some irregularities of the language be made more regular?
@gbmaizol : Parla in interlingua e quasi toto le mundo va comprehender te. Esperanto es multe difficile de apprender e quasi nemo lo comprehende, nam non resimila a necun altere lingua...
On one hand, it's cool to see what Interlingua is all about. I'm not really against it. But I didn't appreciate the attack on Esperanto. Interlingua might be great for Romance Language speakers, but Esperanto is great for a wider audience. Anyway, someone who likes one doesn't have to attack the other.
Very good! Try to watch videos in Spanish and practice the accent, specially the "R"s. It would make your Interlingua sound mucho clearer :) Luck and good video!
¡Muy bien! Intenta mirar videos en español y practica el acento, especialmente las eres. Haría que tu interlingua sonara mucho más claro. ¡Suerte y buen video!

By the way thanks for making this video.

@ML678v Errh.. thats the point. It's easy to learn because its a "rip off" of shared words in some very common languages.

Probably because you don't know any language except the "main" european ones.
It can sound like italian or latin (for not italians/latins), but always with "something" different, that only esperanto has. It's its own character.
Aniway, you cannot say: i don't like the language X because it is not similar to the languages X,Y... not a good point of view
;-)
